Abstract

This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of the application of Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) in various studies to understand research trends, research subjects, influential publications, prolific authors, geographical distribution, and keywords often appearing in SCCT literature. The research method used was bibliometric analysis with VosViewer software. Data were collected from the Scopus database using the PRISMA2020 protocol. The analysis results show that interest in SCCT continues to increase, with peak publications in 2022. SCCT has been applied in various research fields, including Social Sciences, Psychology, Business, Management, and Accounting. Influential articles in the SCCT literature have expanded the understanding of SCCT applications in the context of career decision-making. Prolific authors related to SCCT are Lent, R.W, Brown, S.D, and Dos Santos, L.M. Geographically, the United States dominates the number of publications, but global interest in SCCT is evident from the contributions of countries such as China, South Korea, and Australia. Keywords that frequently appear in the SCCT literature include "Social Cognitive Career Theory" and "Self-Efficacy." This research illustrates the positive developments in the understanding and application of SCCT in various research contexts. With intense interest and increasing international cooperation, SCCT remains an essential framework for understanding the factors contributing to career success. With intense interest and increasing international collaboration, the SCCT remains a critical framework for understanding the psychological factors that influence individual career decision-making worldwide.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship and sustainable development are closely related concepts. Social entrepreneurship applies entrepreneurial attributes with a focus on solving major social issues. The relationship between the two demonstrates the contribution of social entrepreneurship in addressing social and environmental problems, reducing poverty, and fostering sustainable economic growth. This research employs a bibliometric approach to analyze trends and patterns in 181 relevant articles published between 2015 and 2023. Findings indicate significant growth in research between 2019 and 2021. Countries and institutions such as Spain, the United States, and Universitat de Valencia stand out in these publications. The bibliometric analysis also reveals influential journals like Sustainability and the Journal of Cleaner Production. Key terms such as 'sustainable development,' 'social entrepreneurship,' and 'sustainability' highlight five thematic clusters encompassing economic development, the role of social entrepreneurship in corporate social responsibility, rural community development, and the contribution of social entrepreneurship to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research findings help in identifying future research directions and enhancing knowledge of social entrepreneurship's function in sustainable development. Leveraging these insights can empower social entrepreneurs to create a fairer, more sustainable future. In conclusion, further research could delve deeper into thematic clusters and consider regional influences to maximize their impact on the world.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the development strategies of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia based on Financial Technology (FinTech). MSMEs play a significant role in the Indonesian economy but still face various challenges, particularly in terms of access to funding and technology. FinTech has emerged as an innovation in the financial sector that can help address some of these challenges. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review method. Data were collected from various secondary sources, including scholarly journals, books, and related research documents. The research findings indicate a stable and positive growth of MSMEs in Indonesia, with approximately 99.99% of business players in the country being part of this sector. MSMEs play a crucial role in creating jobs, increasing productivity, and supporting national economic growth. Furthermore, FinTech has played a key role in supporting the growth of MSMEs. Peer-to-peer lending (P2PL) platforms and digital payment solutions have provided easier and more efficient access to capital for MSMEs. Additionally, FinTech has transformed the way payments, transactions, and investments are carried out, helping to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. With broader financial inclusion and government support, MSMEs in Indonesia can continue to grow and thrive. FinTech has the potential to be a powerful tool in addressing some of the challenges faced by MSMEs, further strengthening its crucial role in the Indonesian economy.

Abstract

This study explores the role of outcome expectations in mediating the influence of prior experience on social entrepreneurship intention in the creative economy sector of Indonesia. Despite the increasing interest in social entrepreneurship, research on the factors driving the intention to become a social entrepreneur remains scarce. This study employed the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) as a theoretical framework to investigate social entrepreneurship as a career choice, focusing on the influence of outcome expectations on social entrepreneurship intention. A quantitative explanatory survey was conducted with 290 creative economy actors in Bandung through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that positive outcome expectations mediate the influence of prior experience on social entrepreneurship intention, highlighting the importance of outcome expectations in shaping social entrepreneurship intention. Prior experience in addressing social issues indirectly drives social entrepreneurship intention through positive outcome expectations. These findings underscore the need to cultivate positive outcome expectations in social entrepreneurship training programs to enhance entrepreneurial self-efficacy and motivation. However, this study is limited to creative economy actors in Bandung, affecting its generalizability. Future research could explore additional mediating variables or apply this model to different entrepreneurial sectors. This study contributes to the literature by integrating SCCT into social entrepreneurship, offering a novel perspective on how prior experience shapes entrepreneurial intention.
