Abstract

The growth of the Islamic religion reveals Malaysia's Islamic history and civilization. The purpose of this study is to look at the evolution of Islam in Malaysia from historical perspectives. Islam was crucial in defining Malaysian identity and laying the groundwork for the country's social, political, and cultural development. This research examines the history of Islam from prehistoric times to the present, focusing on significant events such as the commencement of the religion's spread throughout the region, the Malay Sultanate, the arrival of Western colonialists, and the establishment of contemporary Malaysia. The approach utilized in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, which is reviewed using data gathering methods in the form of literature reviews. The findings of this study demonstrate how Islam maintains its fundamental beliefs and religious identity while adjusting to the demands of the modern world. Understanding the evolution of Islam in Malaysia can help students learn more about the country's cultural and social dynamics, as well as how it fits into the larger global context.

Abstract

The Merak crossing port route, which connects the islands of Java and Sumatra and is in the city of Cilegon in the province of Banten and is also the busiest crossing in Indonesia, serves as a traffic gateway. In 1912, Merak Harbor saw its first use. Merak Harbor was a spearheading ship port underlying 1912 by the Dutch East Indies government. Before becoming a national asset of Indonesia, the port served colonial political purposes when it was built. The presence of this port is a financial resource for Banten region which has an ocean transportation strategy heading with the point and objective of turning into "the pre-prominent port territory in Indonesia". The reason for this study is to figure out the idea of the improvement of the Merak port as an exchange and delivery focus. Heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography are the four stages of the method used to write this research. This study relied on books, documents, and journals related to the port of Merak as sources from literature studies that included technical historical analysis based on interpretations of historical facts. The consequences of the review show that the Port of Merak is as yet dynamic in trading merchandise abroad, the presence of the Merak Crossing Port likewise extensively affects the encompassing local area.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' learning interest by using the Spinwheel-based Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in history lessons, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the implemented Spinwheel-based PBL model in history learning. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which involves the stages of planning, action, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The research was conducted in three stages, namely Cycle I, Cycle II, and Cycle III. Data analysis techniques involved normality tests, homogeneity tests, and success criteria tests. Based on the analysis of the research results and discussion, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Spinwheel-based Problem-Based Learning model in history learning is effective in increasing the learning interest of Grade XI students in Phase F.2.
