Abstract

The more smartphone developed, the more type of smartphone is released. The more that released, then the more varied the design, specifications and brand of phone that appears. So that makes prospective buyers having a hard time choosing a smartphone that suits their need. Therefore, researcher decided to build an application for smartphone selection which will make user easier to choose. The method used in the decision making system is Weighted Product method. Where this method is chosen because it can do calculation with multiplication to connect the attribute rating and produce the highest value that chosen as the best alternative. Then the user analysist is given to find out what else is needed for the 12 application users, so some question are given. Then a process design is carried out to determine whether the application made is in accordance with what is expected and also an activity to evaluate weakness of what being tested. The result is this application can be well received by respondent and also usefull in choosing a smartphone. The user can understand in using this application easily and this application give a positive value to every user that using it. In conclusion, users are made easier in choosing and knowing what smartphone is suitable for them. Suggestion, picture addition is needed so user can be more aware of what smarthpone they want.

Abstract

Increasingly sophisticated technology makes humans have to participate in technological advances. Like laptops, the development of technology, the technology used by laptops is getting better, such as better specifications and making buyers more difficult because there are many laptops available today. With this research entitled the implementation of the SAW method in the laptop selection decision system, it is hoped that prospective buyers can see and compare the weighting methods starting from the brand criteria and features that can make it easier for prospective laptop buyers to determine their choices that can adjust to the needs that will be used. In this research there are 2 laptops (alternatively include Acer and Asus). The result is Asus which is laptop 2 to rank 1 with a value of 0.6, Acer rank 2 with a value of 0.45.

Abstract

Photography is a branch of art that uses a camera as a medium for making works. Nowadays people tend to follow the trend to buy a camera to capture special moments. However, because there are so many types of cameras that are offered, choosing what kind of camera to buy will be difficult. One solution that can be used to complete camera selection is a decision support system. The purpose of this research is to apply a decision support system method, namely the simple additive weighting method into the scratch programming language to determine the best alternative camera to choose from. In this study the authors compared two cameras, namely the Canon EOS 1200D and Nikon D3300 DSL and concluded that the Canon EOS 1200D was the best alternative with a preference value of 0.94 and the Nikon D3300 DSL got a preference value of 0.89
