<![CDATA[ABSTRAKSaat ini   teknisi komputer membutuhkan waktu lama dalam mendiagnosa kerusakan yang terjadi pada sebuah komputer, bahkan sering kali teknisi menunda pekerjaannya hanya untuk menghasilkan solusi dari kerusakan komputer. Perkembangan sistem pakar dapat digunakan untuk memberikan solusi secara cepat dan tepat, misalnya dalam hal menentukan jenis kerusakan pada komputer. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan merancang perangkat lunak menggunakanmetode forward chaining dan certainty factor dimana metode forward chaining sebagai proses pelacakan sedangkan metode certainty factor merupakan cara untuk membuktikan apakah suatu fakta itu pasti ataukah tidak pasti. Metode ini cocok digunakan untuk sistem pakar yang mendiagnosis sesuatu yang belum pasti dengan melakukan perhitungan secara akurat untuk menentukan nilai keyakinannya. Manfaat yang diperoleh dari sistem pakar yang mampu melakukan diagnosis dengan cepat, tepat dan akurat terhadap gejala kerusakan yang terjadi diharapkan mampu membantu teknisi dalam memberikan solusi dan penanganan secara tepat dari kerusakan yang terjadi pada komputer. ABSTRACTRecently, computer technicians take a long time to diagnose the damage that happened in computer, even technician sometimes postpones their workt to get a precise solutions for the damage of the computer. Expert system development could be used to give a sollution precisely and quickly, for example to decide computer damage type.The solution of this problems is to design software built with forward chaining and certainty factor methods. The forward chaining method is the way to trace process and certainty factor is the way to prove all of the facts whether precise or imprecise. These methods are suitable for an expert system to diagnose uncertainly problem by doing calculation precisely to establish the value of confidence. The benefit that obtained from this expert system is be able to diagnose quickly, precisely, and accurately from indicator of computer damage.
