Abstract

Melalui karyanya, al-Ri’ayah li Huquq Allah, al-Muhasibi menganalisis secara utuh mengenai berbagai bentuk egoisme manusia, metode pelatihannya, dan cara mewaspadainya. Bentuk egoisme utama yang dibahasnya adalah; riya’ (narsisisme); kibr (megalomania); ‘ujub, dan ghirrah. Menyangkut pembahasan tentang khatarat, ia mengajukan tiga sumber penyebabnya, yakni hawa nafsu, setan atau iblis, dan Tuhan—melalui wahyu Ilahi dan nalar manusia. Analisis al-Muhasibi mengenai khatarat hawa nafsu dan setan merupakan analisis yang paling terkenal di kalangan kaum sufi. Namun, adalah penting untuk mengingat bahwasanya dia juga meyakini Allah sebagai sumber khatarat.

Abstract

Problem mendasar dalam proses pengajaran studi Islam di UIN, IAIN, dan STAIN, juga perguruan tinggi berbasis ilmu-ilmu keislaman lainnya adalah menyangkut persoalan metodologi pengkajian Islam itu sendiri. Selama ini para pengajar “terbaca” sehagai pihak yang kurang memahami dengan baik persoalan metodologi dimaksud. Boleh jadi, eksplorasi matakuliah-matakuliah tertentu--cabang-cabang keilmuan Islamic studies sudah mendetail, namun asumsi-asumsi dasar dan kerangka teori yang digunakan oleh bangunan keilmuan tersebut lepas begitu saja. Penyebab utamanya adalah kegagalan penguasaan atas metodologinya, Sudah barang tentu, implikasi dan konsekuensi pada lokus praksis yang dimungkinkan bahkan dicanangkan oleb cabang-cabang keilmuan itu terlepas pula begitu saja. Atau dalam arti lain, kajian atas studi keislaman menjadi sesuatu yang normatif, utopis--tidak menjejak, Akibat dari pola baca yang sekadar puas menikmati kulit dan membuang isi tersebut menyebabkan “seolah-olah” terjadi inkompatibilitas antara Islam dengan sekian unsur modernitas (Misalnya; isu-isu perempuan, hak asasi manusia, kebebasan beragama, dan pluralisme).

Abstract

The erosion of national attitudes and religious tolerance as well as excessive religious fanaticism within the firqah (class) often results in horizontal conflicts between fellow human beings. Such a phenomenon of mainstream thinking has made the Nurul Islam Islamic boarding school take an important role in strengthening religious moderation in preventing the entry of various kinds of religious thoughts that are contrary to the culture of Indonesian society. This study aimed to understand and reveal the strengthening of perspectives, attitudes and practices of nationalism and tolerance at the Nurul Islam Islamic boarding school. This research used a qualitative approach in the form of field research. Data analysis was presented in a qualitative descriptive manner as obtained from informants. The results of this study indicated that the strengthening of religious moderation in the Nurul Islam Islamic boarding school is through several aspects, including: a) strengthening nationalism through early education and formal education. While the forum for strengthening implementation is through: book recitation, seminars, training, discussions, bahtsul masail, deepening the understanding of aswajaan and socialization. b) Strengthening national attitudes, namely through: extracurricular activities and PHBN activities. c) Strengthening national practices, namely through: the example of the kiai, through the discipline of Islamic boarding schools, religious students, mutual cooperation, helping each other and being fair. Strengthening in the aspect of tolerance, namely in the form of: a) strengthening the perspective of tolerance, namely through: yellow book studies, formal education, seminars, literacy, ukhuwah character training, aswajaan studies and cooperation between outside agencies. Strengthening understanding for teachers, namely such as: training, debriefing on the aqeedah of aswaja and teacher's morning call. b) Strengthening tolerance, such as: religious activities for students, activities (PHBI), cultural enterpreneur bazaars and art performances (PENSI). c) Strengthening the practice of tolerance, including the application of a balanced attitude, respecting differences, the application of noble character, solidarity and hospitality practices.

Abstract

The interest in learning is an option in carrying out an activity and could arouse a person's desire to make a willingness to learn. This interest is very important. It will affect the understanding of the received material and the learning outcomes that will be obtained. This study aimed to determine the level of students’ interest in learning at MTs Manba’ul Huda Sekaran. Quantitative descriptive method was used as research design. The characteristics of this quantitative descriptive research were in the form of numerical data. Conclusions were drawn based on the words and numerical data. Meanwhile,exposure of descriptive statistical data was shown in the form of tables and images obtained from observations, questionnaires, documentation, and interview with the Arabic teachers at MTs Manba’ul Huda Sekaran. The data described was then discussed and analyzed.

Abstract

This study explores second language (L2) acquisition in children aged 6–12, focusing on the role of language exposure, social environment, and parenting/teaching strategies. Employing a qualitative case study design, three children with different backgrounds were observed: one attending an international school, one enrolled in a regular school with supplementary English lessons, and one studying at a bilingual school. Data were collected through participatory observation at home and school, in-depth interviews with parents and teachers, and document triangulation. The findings indicate that the intensity and consistency of L2 exposure strongly influence fluency, comprehension of instructions, and spontaneous language production. Children with consistent exposure across both home and school demonstrated higher proficiency, including natural code-switching, while those with limited exposure tended to be passive. Supportive social environments and consistent family language policies were also found to enhance L2 development. These results highlight the importance of collaboration between schools and families in providing rich, consistent, and meaningful language input for children.
