Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mystical practices and motivations of female ghosts in the novel Ibuku Malang Ibu Kuyang by Nurul Karimah. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data of this research are in the form of words, sentences and dialogues contained in the text of the novel Ibuku Malang Ibuku Kuyang by Nurul Karimah. The steps taken are as follows: (1) Reading the novel Ibuku Malang, Ibuku Kuyang carefully and thoroughly. (2) Collecting data on words, sentences and dialogues in the Novel Ibuku Malang Ibuku Kuyang by Nurul Karimah. (3) After the words, sentences and dialogues in the Novel Ibuku Malang Ibuku Kuyang by Nurul Karimah have been recorded, the next activity is to analyze using the description method. The results of this study show that the mystical practices carried out by female characters become kuyang are teachings that deviate from religion. This mystical practice is carried out by applying kuyang oil around the neck, then the head is separated from the body in search of a sacrifice. While the main character's motivation to become kuyang is to save his household and want to avenge his hurt because his pride has been trampled on by his husband's young wife.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the traditional game of the people of South Kalimantan called balogo in literary works. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data collected are in the form of words, phrases, sentences, dialogues of the characters and paragraphs related to the depiction of the traditional balogo game. After the data is collected, the data will be analyzed using descriptive methods. In the analysis process, the research data obtained will be described in detail. After the data analysis process, the last activity is to provide conclusions on research results. From the research that has been done, obtained research results about: (1) The shape of the logo in the form of an animal or other shapes such as the shape of a kite, (2) The interaction of the characters in playing balogo related to the process of playing the logo, (3) Messages from balogo game to be careful when hitting the logo so that the logo that is hit does not enter other people's pages, and (4) The existence of the balogo game for children divides the story into two groups, namely the East Antasan children's group who plays the logo and the children's group Western Antasan who is not interested in playing logoKeywords: Traditional Games; Balogo; Literary Works. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan permainan tradisional masyarakat Kalimantan Selatan yang bernama balogo dalam karya sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data-data yang dikumpulkan berupa kata-kata, frasa, kalimat, dialog para tokoh dan paragraf yang berhubungan dengan penggambaran permainan tradisional balogo. Setelah data terkumpul, data akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Pada proses analisis, data penelitian yang didapatkan akan dideskripsikan secara detail. Setelah proses analisis data, kegiatan terakhir adalah memberikan kesimpulan terhadap hasil penelitian. Dari Penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil penelitian tentang: (1) Bentuk logo yang berbentuk binatang atau bentuk-bentuk lainnya seperti bentuk layang-layang, (2) Interaksi para tokoh dalam bermain balogo yang berkaitan dengan proses bermain logo, (3) Pesan dari permainan balogo agar berhati-hati dalam memukul logo agar logo yang dipukul tidak masuk halaman orang lain, dan (4) Eksistensi permainan balogo bagi anak-anak bagi dalam cerita yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok anak Antasan Timur yang memainkan logo dan kelompok anak Antasan Barat yang tidak tertarik bermain logo.Kata Kunci: Permainan Tradisional; Balogo; Karya Sastra.
