<![CDATA[AbstrakàAda banyak faktoràyang àmempengaruhi Indeks Prestasi mahasiswa Fakultas Teknologi Informasi UKDW. Faktor-faktor yang akan menjadi perhatian dalam penelitian ini adalah lokasi SMA, kategori SMA, status SMA dan level kemampuan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menganalisis dependensi faktor tersebut terhadap IP semester 1 mahasiswa FTI UKDW di awal kuliah. Dengan menggunakan tabel Crosstab dan uji Chi-square ternyata nilai p-value faktor lokasi SMA, kategori SMA dan level Bahasa Inggris mendekati nol, sedangkan untuk status SMA mempunyai p-value sebesar 0,316 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa IP semester 1 dependen dengan kategori SMA, lokasi SMA dan level Bahasa Inggris. IP semester 1 mahasiswa FTI tidak tergantung pada asal status SMA, dalam hal ini status negeri dan swasta akan mempunyai hasil yang cenderung sama.àKata kunci: Crosstab, Chi-Square test, p-valueààAbstractàThere are many factors affecting the Grade Point Average (GPA) in Information Technology Faculty student. This research analyzes some factors that influenced studentââ¬â¢s academic performance (GPA) in the first semester, such as the location ofàhigh school, high school category, high school status, and level of English Language. Using the Crosstab tables and Chi-square test, it is found that the p-value of the high school location, high school category and level of English is close to zero, while high school status has a p-value of 0.316.
