Abstract

The emergence of banking as an intermediary institution plays a very important role in the economy because it is the heart that must pump "money" and distribute it to all organs that need the money. Therefore, it is very important to maintain the stability of the banking financial system. The development of the banking system can trigger competition in the banking industry which can affect banking stability. This research was conducted to determine the effect of bank competition on the stability of the banking financial system. This research focuses on KBMI 4 data which is a large bank HHI index, market share and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) used as a proxy for competition and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) as a proxy for banking financial stability. The analysis technique used is Panel Data Regression with KBMI 4th quarter data for 2019-2022. Of these three variables, the HHI index and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) variables have a significant effect on Non-Performing Loans (NPL). Meanwhile, the market share variable has no significant effect on Non-Performing Loans (NPL).

Abstract

Financial innovation was created to make it easier for banks to carry out their intermediation functions. There are many forms of financial innovation that exist today, but in this research the author focuses more on his analysis of strengthening the banking intermediation function through the Branchless Banking system with a sample of BUKU 4 banks (Business Group 4 Commercial Banks). In this research the author used primary data obtained through the results of distributing questionnaires online. From this research it can be concluded that the existence of Branchless Banking really helps banking institutions in carrying out their function as public financial distribution institutions and the existence of this system still does not shift the main role of banking institutions in carrying out their function as financial mediators in society.

Abstract

Banks play an important role in the economy and demonstrate their commitment to sustainable economic development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by highlighting social, economic and environmental aspects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of environmental, social, and governance aspects as dependent variables on market structure as measured by the Lerner Index as an independent variable. Four commercial banks in Indonesia were selected as samples and panel data regression methods were used in the analysis. The results show that environmental aspects have a positive and significant influence on the market structure of monopolistic competition. In contrast, the social aspect does not show significant influence, and the governance aspect is influential but with a negative direction towards the monopolistic market structure. Therefore, these results suggest that banks consider these aspects in their operations and policies to create a healthier and more competitive market.

Abstract

The market has a role as a place to mingle and carry out buying and selling transactions for various products for all levels of society. The increasingly rapid economy currently requires various parties to improve their performance and business in order to be able to compete with other parties, including business owners trading in traditional markets. The 17 August Market in Pamekasan Regency is one of the largest traditional markets in Pamekasan Regency, which is located in East Java Province with the highest level of market development in Indonesia. Increasing demands encourage traders to use transaction methods that are less in accordance with Islamic law. For example, neglecting prayers, committing fraud such as reducing scales, unclear expiration dates for goods sold, traders being unfriendly to buyers, and treating buyers differently. So in this research an analysis was carried out of the influence of the variables Tauhid (X1), Balance (X2), Balance (X3), Responsibility (X4), and Ihsan (X5) on Trader Behavior (Y). Based on the calculation of multiple linear regression analysis, the five variables play a significant role in the Trader Behavior variable, with the Tauhid variable (X1) having the most dominant influence.
