Abstract

The Arabic Language curriculum at the Junior High School level plays a central role in developing students' abilities to understand and use the language. Analyzing the curriculum at this level becomes important to evaluate the extent to which the materials, approaches, and teaching methods can meet the needs and abilities of students. The implementation of the Arabic language curriculum can vary depending on the context, learning objectives, and characteristics of the learners, making it important to have a flexible curriculum that can be adapted to the needs of the students according to the developments and challenges perceived by the teachers. SMP Darul Hijrah Putri is part of Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah Putri where the educators are alumni of Pondok Modern Gontor, thus the curriculum adopted is also the Gontor curriculum, namely KMI (Kulliyatul Mualimin Al-Islamiyah).

Abstract

This study adopts a qualitative approach of literature review with the deep-seated aim of understanding the various responses to the evolution and dynamics of the Quranic revelation process. The methodological process begins with data collection sourced from relevant literature, both classic and contemporary, which includes works of great scholars such as Abu al-Qasim al-Naisaburi in "Al-Tanbîh ‘ala Fadhl ‘Ulum al-Qur’an" and Imam as-Suyuthi in "al-Itqan." Collected data comprises definitions and discussions on concepts such as verses, chapters, occasions of revelation (asbabun nuzul), abrogating and abrogated (nasikh and mansukh), literal and metaphorical (haqiqat and majaz), the Quranic inimitability (i’jaz al-Qur'an), the Quranic script (rasm al-Qur'an), Quranic parables (amtsal al-Qur'an), as well as categorization into Meccan (Makkiyah) and Medinan (Madaniyah) revelations. Once the data is gathered, a systematic analysis is conducted to map and understand how these concepts have evolved and been utilized in Quranic studies. The analysis is executed by examining and comparing various perspectives from scholars, in addition to their relevance to the historical and social context of the Quran's revelation. An interpretative approach is key in the analysis, where interpretation of the data strives to respect the original text and context of its revelation, while also considering the dynamics and changes over time that influence the understanding of the text. This is especially pertinent to the understanding of Meccan and Medinan revelations.

Abstract

Currently, the role of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is crucial in supporting social success. The importance of focusing on the education of students (santri) lies in its influence on their physical and emotional development. This study focuses on how Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, integrates formal education with the traditional Islamic education system. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the research reveals that Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah opts for a full integration model. This means that they fully maintain the characteristics and education system of the Salafiyah pesantren while ostensibly running two separate educational systems school and pesantren yet under the same foundation. The learning process at Pondok Pesantren Al-Falah adopts the regular school/madrasah format with a Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) program for three years and a Madrasah Aliyah (MA) program for another three years, which is applied both in teaching at the pesantren and in the public school.

Abstract

Abstract: There is one expression that states that language indicates one's identity, there is also language indicating nation. Language and culture have a coordinative relationship characterized by the quality of the reciprocal relationship between the two, and a subordinate that reflects one quality of the relationship that is only one-sided, meaning that it is the culture that influences the language, and not the other way around. Because of the close relationship between language and culture, there are some experts who equate the relationship between the two inseparable things like two sides of a coin. When learning a foreign language, we also indirectly learn the culture of the language we are learning. Because language reflects the culture of a person. Similarly, when studying Arabic, we also learn the cultural form of native Arabic speakers. Contrastive analysis is very useful in the interests of the development of the language itself, as well as useful for understanding the cultures of other countries through linguistic differences. Contrastive analysis also contributes to the translation to be more accurate in expressing intent in the source language text.Keywords: Arabic; Contrastive Analysis; Culture; Indonesian Language. Abstrak: Ada satu ungkapan yang menyatakan bahwa bahasa menunjukkan identitas seseorang, ada juga bahasa menunjukkan bangsa. Bahasa dan kebudayaan memiliki hubungan koordinatif yang dicirikan dengan kualitas hubungan timbal balik antara keduanya, dan subordinatif yang mencerminkan satu kualitas hubungan yang hanya sepihak, artinya budayalah yang mempengaruhi bahasa, dan bukan sebaliknya.  Karena eratnya hubungan bahasa dan kebudayaan, ada sebagian pakar yang menyamakan hubungan keduanya dua hal yang tidak dapat dipisahkan seperti dua sisi mata uang. Ketika mempelajari bahasa asing maka secara tidak langsung kita juga mempelajari budaya dari bahasa yang kita pelajari. Karena bahasa mencerminkan budaya sesorang. Demikian pula ketika mempelajari bahasa Arab kita juga belajar bgaimana budaya dari penutur asli bahasa Arab. Analisis kontrastif sangat berguna untuk kepentingan pengembangan bahasa itu sendiri, serta berguna untuk memahami budaya negara lain melalui perbedaan linguistik. Analisis kontrastif juga berkontribusi pada terjemahan agar lebih akurat dalam mengekspresikan maksud dalam teks bahasa sumber.Kata Kunci: Analisis Kontrastif; Budaya; Bahasa Arab; Bahasa Indonesia.
