Abstract

Background: Pregnancy is a period that starts from conception to the birth of the fetus. Third trimester of pregnancy, which is the last 3 months of pregnancy which starts from the 28th week to the 40th week. (Setiawati et al., 2019). Physiological changes that occur during pregnancy have pathways that are pathological for pregnant women. Complaints in pregnant women include back pain which is characterized by the enlargement of the uterus affecting the center of gravity, stretching out and bandaging the abdominal muscles, changing body postures, and putting pressure on the back. Therapy Listening to music can produce endorphins (a morphine-like substance supplied by the body which can reduce pain/pain) which can inhibit the transmission of pain impulses in the central nervous system, so that the sensation of pain can be reduced Objective : To determine the effectiveness of the music therapy to reducing low back pain on pregnant women Methodology This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one group pretest posttest design. The sampling technique was perposive sampling in third trimester pregnant women, totaling 40 respondents. Result and Discussion: The results showed that the median pretest value was 6.00 and the median posttest value was 2.00 with a p value of 0.00 <0.05, this indicated that there was a decrease in back pain before and after the classical music therapy. Conclusion: Mozart classical music therapy has an effect on reducing back pain in third trimester pregnant women.

Abstract

Aim: To determine the influence of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls regarding BSE at SMP Negeri 2 Palembang Method: This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pre-test post-test approach. The instruments used were knowledge questionnaires (20 questions) and attitudes (16 questions), which were tested for validity and reliability. The study was conducted from April 17-19, 2024, with a sample of 38 ninth-grade female students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test. Result: The average knowledge score increased from 54.87 to 86.05, with a difference of 31.18, while the average attitude score increased from 69.50 to 87.68, with a difference of 18.18. The statistical test results showed a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference before and after the intervention. Conclusion: Health education has an effect on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls regarding breast self-examination at SMP Negeri 2 Palembang

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is one of the most common discomforts experienced by pregnant women, particularly in the third trimester. Despite its prevalence, non-pharmacological interventions targeting this specific issue remain underexplored. Hypnobirthing, a method involving relaxation, visualization, and self-hypnosis, has shown promise in reducing labor-related pain and anxiety, but its effectiveness in alleviating LBP during pregnancy is still unclear.  This quasi-experimental study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of hypnobirthing techniques in reducing low back pain among pregnant women.  A quasi-experimental design was used involving pregnant women in their third trimester. Participants were divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received a structured hypnobirthing program for four weeks, while the control group received routine antenatal care. Pain intensity was measured using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) before and after the intervention.  The hypnobirthing intervention group reported a statistically significant reduction in low back pain compared to the control group. Participants also reported improved relaxation and better coping mechanisms related to pregnancy discomfort. Hypnobirthing appears to be an effective complementary intervention for reducing low back pain in pregnant women. These findings support its integration into antenatal care programs and call for further research exploring its mechanisms and long-term benefits.
