Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) on Return on Assets (ROA) at Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia for the 2017-2021 period. This research method uses quantitative methods with associative properties. The population comes from Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia as many as 35 banks. The sample is determined based on purposive sampling techniques based on banks whose establishment is the result of the conversion of Conventional Commercial Banks and has been established for more than 5 years. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study show that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) variable has a significant positive effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Non-Performing Financing (NPF) variables have an insignificant negative effect on ROA. The variable Operating Expenses of Operating Income (BOPO) has a significant negative influence on Return on Assets (ROA). The implications of this study provide understanding for the public that allows them to invest in Islamic banking products by looking at the financial performance of Islamic banking
