Abstract

General elections are a pillar of democracy that determines the representation of the people in government. This research aims to explore the potential for implementing E-Voting as an innovative solution to increase public participation in general elections, with a focus on improving the quality of the election process. The research method involved literature analysis, interviews with information technology experts, and community surveys to gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential and barriers to implementing E-Voting. The research results show that the implementation of Electronic Voting (E-Voting) has a positive impact in increasing voter participation, efficiency and transparency in general elections. E-Voting overcomes traditional barriers such as long queues and time constraints by providing easier access and a more flexible voting experience. However, challenges such as system security, legal compliance, and technology engagement across all levels of society need to be addressed to ensure successful implementation. In conclusion, E-Voting has great potential to be an effective tool in realizing more inclusive and modern general elections, as long as these challenges can be overcome with appropriate and measurable solutions.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has changed the political landscape significantly, introducing new elements that influence the democratization process. This research aims to explore and analyze the dynamics of democracy in facing the challenges and opportunities that arise in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that in the digital era, people can quickly access political information, but at the same time face the risk of spreading false information and polarizing opinions. Active participation through online participatory platforms offers opportunities for citizens to be involved in decision-making processes, but unequal access to technology remains a barrier. Social media, while opening the door to wider participation, also contributes to the formation of echo chambers that can deepen gaps in views

Abstract

Students, as agents of social change, are expected to make a positive contribution in responding to and overcoming various obstacles faced by political parties during the general election process. This research aims to explore the role of students in facing challenges and problems involving political parties in the context of general elections in Indonesia. This research method involves qualitative analysis of primary and secondary data, including interviews with active students, literature analysis, and case studies related to political parties in previous general elections. The research results show that students play a significant role in responding to and shaping political dynamics, especially in the context of General Election (Election). Students can make positive contributions through critical analysis of political party programs, direct participation in political activities, and promotion of the values of integrity and a clear political vision. Their awareness of the diversity of political views is also a key factor in building unity in a multicultural society. The research results also highlight the importance of students' readiness to face the world of politics, with a deep understanding of political issues, critical assessment of political arguments, and advocacy for honesty as key points in strengthening students' role in building a healthier and more democratic political environment.

Abstract

In the face of the rapid development of Big Data, privacy protection has become a central issue that requires serious attention. This research aims to conduct a comprehensive review of existing personal data protection policies, with a focus on their relevance in the context of the Big Data era. We analyze the impact of large-scale data collection, processing and analysis on individual privacy, and evaluate the extent to which current data protection policies can address emerging challenges. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that personal data protection has become a major concern in Indonesia, especially due to the increase in data breaches and leaks. Although there have been efforts by the government and the DPR to draft a special draft law (RUU), the bill has not yet been passed into law. An important point in the bill is the application of the principle of extra-territorial jurisdiction, which emphasizes data protection obligations for all entities, both within and outside Indonesian jurisdiction. Although the bill is still awaiting approval, this step reflects the government's determination to create a solid legal foundation that is responsive to the complex challenges of personal data protection in the digital era.
