Abstract

This research reveals social values using the study of literary sociology in the novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davanor. The study of literary sociology in this study focuses on the literary sociology approach of Rene Wellek and Austin Warren. This research is a Literature Study. The data were analyzed using descriptive techniques in the form of the author's speech in the novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davonar. Data collection techniques from books and journals, obtained in accordance with the problems and objectives of literary studies related to social values and literary sociology studies with data sources of Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan novels by Agnes Davanor. The results of research on social values depicted in the novel Surat Kecil untuk Tuhan by Agnes Davanor in literary analysis, namely Compassion, are realized in the form of caring, devotion, kinship, please help. Responsibility, presented in the form of a sense of belonging, discipline, and empathy.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and reveal the role of Parnassianism in the development of Arabic literature. Parnassianism, which originated in France in the 19th century, emphasized formal beauty, clarity, and technical rigor in literary works, while rejecting the excessive use of emotional expression. This research shows how the influence of Parnassianism has permeated the works of prominent Arabic literati, influencing writing style, poetry structure, and themes raised. Through historical approaches and comparative literary analysis, this study traces the presence of Parnassianism in the works of Arab literati, from the introduction of Parnassian aesthetic concepts to their application in the context of Arabic literature. The works of Arabic literati such as Aḥmad Syawqῑ, Ḥāfiẓ Ibrāhῑm, and others are explored to highlight the formal use of Parnassianism and how it influenced the evolution of modern poetry in the context of Buddhism.

Abstract

Fokus Masalah yang akan penulis teliti adalah pesan dakwah dalam novel Banat Al-Riyardh karya Raja Al-Sanea. Untuk mengidentifikasi persoalan tersebut secara mendalam dan menyeluruh, maka penulis menggunakan metode kepustakaan. Proses pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui data kepustakaan. Hal ini karena penulis memenfaatkan berbagai macam pustaka yang relevan. Teknik pemerolehan data sebagai berikut: Mencari sumber data utama yang digunakan untuk diteliti yakni Novel Banat Al-Riyardh Karya Raja Abdul Al-Sanea, Mencari relevansi data yang berhubungan dengan Novel Banat Al-riyardh dengan pendekatan Norman Fairclough, dan Penulis menganalisis Novel Banat Al-Riyardh dengan pendekatan Norman Fairclough. Penulis menggunkan metode analisis wacana model Norman Fairlough. Pada model ini menekankan 3 aspek yaitu: Analisis Teks, Discourse Practice, dan sociocultural Practice. Hasil penelitian ini ialah Pada bagian Analisis Teks, penulis telah menganalsis representasi pesan dakwah dalam novel yaitu tokoh Michelle melalukukan penolakan terhadap budaya poligami. Tanpa adanya alasan penting untuk menerimanya, poligami merupakan penindasan terhadap perempuan. Pada bagian discourse practice, penulis menganalisis tentang pesan dalam novel yaitu kutipan dari puisi Nizar Qabbani dan Surah Ar-ra’du ayat 11. Selanjutnya pada bagian Sociocultural practice, penulis menganalisis bagaimana tradisi patriarki merupakan sebuah realitas sosial.
