Abstract

The development of da'wah broadcasting in Indonesia is marked by the rise of social media users in various cities, such as social media belonging to the Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah Organization which is one of the strategies for spreading da'wah with the aim of practicing Islamic teachings for the sake of happiness in this world and the hereafter. The Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah organization, better known as Al Washliyah, is an Islamic organization that successfully carries out its missionary activities through mosques, education and also social media. In this research, the researcher raised a special topic regarding the concept of spreading da'wah through social media YouTube, Facebook, Instagram. A qualitative research method was chosen for this research with a descriptive case study approach. Primary data collection techniques were carried out using interviews and direct observation, while secondary data was obtained through literature studies carried out on various reading sources that were relevant to the research topic. The research results show that social media carried out by the Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah organization among the public can make it easier for the younger generation to access information about Islamic da'wah and can also change attitudes to always listen to Islamic da'wah.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the textbook "تيسير اللغة العربية" Volume 2 by Syarifah Nurhafziyah, S.Pd for Class VIII, has met the criteria of a good textbook when viewed from the material that has been summarized in, as well as knowing what the advantages and disadvantages of the book are. Methodologically, this research uses Library Research or library research, namely a series of activities related to library data collection methods, while the type of research used is an analysis of book presentation. And the main data source in this research is the textbook "تيسير اللغة العربية" Volume 2 by Syarifah Nurhafziyah, S.Pd Class VIII SMP-IT Al-Hijrah 2 Deli Serdang. After conducting research on existing materials, the researchers concluded that: (a) From the aspect of Selection, the selection of the book's material is in accordance with the purpose of writing the book and the level of proficiency of the reader / beginner, because of the simplicity of language and the provision of examples that are easy to understand. (b) From the aspect of Material Preparation is fairly good, because it prioritizes the more basic rules, and (c) From the aspect of Presentation, the material presented using language and delivery methods that are easily understood by readers, especially beginners and as for the advantages of the book, namely; (1) The title is enough to attract the attention of beginners, (2) the material is arranged systematically, (3) the use of simple and easy-to-understand language, (4) the form of the book is simple and easy to understand.

Abstract

The use of digital technology in language learning has become increasingly relevant in response to evolving educational practices that require the integration of contextual and interactive learning media. In Arabic language learning, particularly in vocabulary acquisition, audiovisual media such as YouTube-based short films offer an alternative approach by integrating visual elements, audio stimuli, and authentic language contexts to provide learning experiences. This study aims to describe the implementation of YouTube-based short films as learning media for Arabic vocabulary instruction and to explore the benefits and challenges encountered during its application at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Laboratorium UINSU. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. The collected data were analyzed using the interactive analysis model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña to identify emerging patterns related to media implementation. The findings reveal that YouTube-based short films serve as supplementary instructional media for Arabic vocabulary learning by providing more contextualized learning experiences, helping students understand vocabulary meanings through visual representations and conversational contexts, and increasing students' engagement throughout the learning process. This study contributes to research on digital technology-based Arabic language learning and provides insights for future studies on integrating audiovisual media into language education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the involvement of the Miftahul Jannah Orphanage in empowering orphans in Kotapinang, the types of empowerment programs implemented, and the factors that facilitate or hinder their implementation. This study used a descriptive research design and qualitative methodology. Data collection techniques included note-taking, interviews, and observations. The village head, foster children, caregivers, orphanage managers, and local community members served as informants in this study. Data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions using source triangulation and data validation procedures were the methods used for data analysis. The research findings indicate that the Miftahul Jannah Orphanage plays a significant role in empowering orphans through character development, religious activities, educational supervision, and the development of skills and independence of foster children. In addition, the existence of the orphanage benefits the surrounding environment by fostering a solemn and peaceful atmosphere, increasing social awareness, and encouraging collaboration. Donors, the local government, and the community all provide support for the implementation of orphan empowerment. Meanwhile, there are several obstacles that must be overcome, such as the scarcity of dormitories and the increasing costs of housing and education for foster children. The Miftahul Jannah Orphanage has successfully fulfilled its role as a social institution in empowering orphans in Kotapinang, according to the study's findings. Therefore, the government and community must continue to support this empowerment initiative so it can grow and be more beneficial to the orphans.
