Abstract

The present investigation used the Springate and Fulmer methodologies to ascertain the bankruptcy rate of companies in the tourism, restaurant, and hotel industries that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2017 and 2021. It is intended to be examined closely. The secondary data used in this study was gathered from the websites and financial statements of the companies listed in IDX. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, independent samples t-test, and inferential statistics were the data analysis methods employed. With an accuracy of 84 percent, Fulmer's method was found to be the most effective in forecasting bankruptcy, followed by his Springate method at 20 percent, according to the study's findings. We recommend that more researchers employ different bankruptcy procedures, look at businesses in diverse industries, and lengthen the study term

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital commerce has intensified competition among online sellers, requiring businesses to understand the factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions in digital marketplaces. However, empirical evidence on how price, promotion, and electronic word of mouth particularly online customer reviews and ratings shape purchasing decisions in the TikTok Shop ecosystem remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effects of price, promotion, online customer reviews, and online customer ratings on purchasing decisions, and to review these relationships from an Islamic perspective. This study uses an explanatory research design with a population consisting of TikTok Shop consumers in North Jakarta and a sample of 125 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that price, promotion, and online customer reviews have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions, whereas online customer ratings do not. These findings provide empirical evidence on consumer behavior in the TikTok Shop marketplace and highlight the importance of pricing strategies, promotional activities, and credible online reviews in influencing purchasing decisions in digital commerce environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, promotion, price perception, and product quality on McDonald's consumers' purchasing decisions in Jakarta, and to assess these marketing factors from an Islamic economic perspective. This research employs an exploratory quantitative approach and a purposive sampling technique. A total of 135 respondents participated through questionnaire-based surveys. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that service quality, promotion, and product quality each have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. In contrast, price perception has a significant, adverse effect, suggesting consumer sensitivity to pricing at fast-food outlets. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence purchasing decisions. From an Islamic perspective, the findings reflect the principles emphasized by Imam Al-Qurthubi on fairness, transparency, and the provision of ethical values in market transactions, suggesting that marketing practices should align with Sharia-compliant consumer ethics. This study contributes to strengthening the understanding of Muslim consumer behavior and highlights the importance of integrating Islamic moral values in fast-food industry marketing strategies.
