Abstract

This journal discusses the influence of social media as a realm of current developments on the electability of presidential and vice presidential candidates in general elections. Writing this journal uses the library study method, with data collection methods in the form of documentation. The analysis technique used is data analysis, through references from journals and books which are then analyzed by the author. The results obtained in this journal are that social media plays a major role in determining the electability of prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates in the general election. Social media is also a means of political communication and attracting the interest of the younger generation in determining their roles and interests in the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs. However, sometimes social media itself backfires and backfires on presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs who cannot regulate the direction of their use of social media. In this case, negative things related to hoaxes, hate speech and misrepresentations can occur in social media forums. So it is important for every prospective partner to respond and use social media wisely because this has a big influence on their electability.

Abstract

This article discusses how the role given by the Pujakesuma group, especially in winning legislative candidates in Simalungun Regency, which is a minority area of the Javanese tribe, in the 2024 election. The writing of this journal uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews with figures from the Pujakesuma community, which is accompanied by documentation and literature studies. The analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis, through references from journals, and books that are then re-analyzed by the author. The findings obtained from this study are that the largest votes obtained from ethnic Javanese were obtained in Bandar Masalam district, which is an area with a majority of ethnic Javanese ethnicity. The Pujakesuma Association played a major role in winning legislative candidates in Simalungun Regency in the 2024 election.  This shows that associations that are synonymous with cultural organizations can take an important role in politics. A well-managed cultural realm will create good results in the surrounding environment, including in the political environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi nilai-nilai etika komunikasi antarpribadi dalam perspektif Islam, khususnya konsep Qaulan Karima (perkataan yang mulia), pada interaksi antara dosen dan mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, penelitian ini menggali bagaimana prinsip Qaulan Karima yang menekankan pada tutur kata yang santun, penuh hormat, empati, dan kemaslahatan, diaplikasikan dalam komunikasi kampus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Qaulan Karima terwujud dalam penggunaan diksi yang sopan, intonasi yang lembut, serta upaya menghindari perkataan yang menyakitkan, menghakimi, atau merendahkan, yang pada gilirannya menciptakan suasana belajar yang kondusif, saling menghargai, dan memperkuat hubungan pendagogis. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan etika komunikasi Islami bukan hanya sekadar norma kesopanan, tetapi merupakan fondasi penting bagi terciptanya interaksi edukatif yang berkualitas, berkeadilan, dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter mulia di kalangan akademisi.
