Abstract

 The divinity of Jesus Christ is often questioned and debated by certain circles, both past and present. The letter to the Hebrews describes Jesus Christ as the light of God's glory and the image of God's own being. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who will possess all things that are revealed to be God, and atone for the sins of mankind, is the main channel of revelation, which is higher than the prophets and angels. The description of Jesus as the Great High Priest in the letter to the Hebrews (Hebrews 4:14-16). Priesthood Superiority of Jesus Christ built on the Melchizedek typology. the writer of Hebrews finds congruence between Christ and Melchizedek. Typological results prove that the priesthood of Jesus Christ is superior to the priesthood of Levi, where Christ is a greater priest than the priest of Levi and he himself has been replaced; and only His priesthood can draw sinners closer to God and communicate with God. and the only perfect and final priesthood can offer the atoning sacrifice, once and for all. In Hebrews there are several warnings that also relate to followers of Christ today. We are warned not to waste the salvation that has been handed down to us. Jesus Christ is already seated at the right hand of the Father, and because He will defeat His enemies and establish His kingdom, and we inherit that victory of salvation. We must hold fast to our faith to the end.

Abstract

Youth is one of the backbone of the church today. Sustainability of Christian youth generation who fear God and love Him is something that should be struggled. St. Paul, the apostle of nations, is an apostle who cares for young generation. His proximity and mentoring method for Timothy prove it. Through his letters both personal to Timothy and Titus, as well as in the letters to the churches, he gives a lot of advices to be considered by the Christian youth today. This paper raises the letters of St. Paul as a source of Paul’s theology in relation to young man. There are three important aspects raise in this paper: 1) Youth and family, 2) Youth and social intercourse, 3) Youth and his/her life partner. The first section provides a review of how young man should be primarily to his parents. The second part reviews of the attitudes in social intercourse. The third part reviews of the rules and norms from St. Paul to choose a spouse and moral ethics to walk on relationship before marriage. The third part gives a big portion to discuss the values of love in a relationship before marriage.

Abstract

Abstract: The Epistle to the Hebrews is an epistle that has sparked a lot of controversies. The most common debates are those relating to authorship. Among the issues of authorship, the most provocative of debate is the discussion about the author. The most important tool in the investigation of the author of writing is the internal evidence of the writing itself. This research is focused on proving Paul as the author of Hebrews based on internal evidence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative non-experimental research with exegetic and biblical approaches to texts that are considered to have significance in the proof of the author to the Hebrews. After careful examination of the text of The Epistle to the Hebrew, is found 25 internal evidence for the author of the Hebrews. This internal evidence was subsequently used to prove Paul's authorship of the Hebrews. Abstrak Surat Ibrani adalah surat yang memicu banyak kontroversi. Perdebatan paling umum adalah yang berhubungan dengan kepenulisannya. Di antara persoalan-persoalan kepenulisan, yang paling memicu perdebatan adalah pembahasan tentang siapa penulisnya. Alat bantu terpenting dalam penyelidikan penulis sebuah tulisan adalah bukti-bukti internal dari tulisan itu sendiri. Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk membuktikan Paulus sebagai penulis surat Ibrani berdasarkan bukti-bukti internal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif non eksperimental dengan pendekatan eksegesis dan biblika terhadap teks-teks yang dianggap memiliki signifikansi dalam pembuktian penulis surat Ibrani. Setelah dilakukan penelitian yang cermat terhadap teks surat Ibrani, maka diperoleh 25 bukti internal penulis surat Ibrani. Bukti-bukti internal ini selanjutnya digunakan untuk membuktikan kepenulisan Paulus atas surat Ibrani.

Abstract

The Apostle Paul emphasized a key to the happiness of marriage in his epistle to the Ephesians: " Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband." - Ephesians 5:33 (NASB). Wive need the love of her husband, otherwise husband need the respect of his wive. There is a great danger that will strike marriage if the principle of Ephesians 5:33 is not applied in marriage. Call it as the Crazy Cycle. When a wife feels unloved, she reacts in a way that her husband feels disrespectful, and when a husband feels disrespected, he reacts in a way his wife feels as unloving. It keeps turning, and their relationship can get messed up. That is why an exegetical study of Ephesians 5:21-33 was done to find the foundations of Paul's apostle's teaching on respect and love. This research embodies 6 indicators of wive who respect her husband and 9 indicators of husband who love his wive. 6 indicators of wive who respect husband are: 1) respecting the work and ideas / thoughts of the husband, 2) respecting the protection and income of the husband, 3) respecting the husband's leadership, 4) respecting the analysis and advice of the husband, 5) respecting the friendship built by the husband, 6) respecting the sexual desire of the husband. 9 indicators of husbands who love wives are: 1) the husband leads in a responsible and exemplary manner, 2) the husband is ready to sacrifice for the wife, 3) the husband as a good priest in the household, 4) the husband loves the wife as loves himself, 5) the husband is ready to accept the weaknesses of his wife, 6) husband faithful work to fulfill the living, 7) husband to give attention to wife, 8) husband priority wife, and 9) husband do not think to divorce or leave wife.
