Abstract

The adoption of emerging technologies, namely Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT), has far-reaching implications for mobile user experience (UX) and this study enhances current research by evaluating the effectiveness of adopting user-centered design (UCD) methodologies to address emerging technologies for mobile experiences. The mixed-methods framework involves both quantitative survey and qualitative interviews to deliver a holistic perspective. The survey focuses on industry professionals and mobile app users to assess how they view AI's role in making personalization part and parcel of the experience, AR/VR role in enabling immersion and engagement, and any challenges presented by device screen size and varied user needs. In addition, semi-structured interviews provide qualitative data that reveal human insight into how practical work is influenced and the practices of design. The study shows AI makes an application much more personalized compared to AR & VR which provide an immersive rich experience but can have technical difficulty with implementation. The research underscores the importance of UCD in enhancing mobile applications and emphasizes the need for iterative design processes along with continual feedback from users to overcome developmental challenges. Moreover, there is a consensus that UX success and ongoing upgrades can be measured via qualitative metrics like user retention rates and satisfaction surveys. This study highlights the growing importance of combining advanced technology with effective design methodology to keep up with shifting user expectations and to improve the competitiveness of mobile apps

Abstract

In learning Indonesian, there are four good language skills that every student must have. Good language skills are one of the most important things in everyday life, so students should not only be taught about the theory conveyed through teacher explanations, it can make the learning atmosphere boring and the learning atmosphere less active, but they should also Teachers can make learning and learning models more effective so that they master, understand and can help train their language skills. Researchers here use literature study methods which require a deep thought process and insight. Namely by collecting data specifically through gathering information from books, trusted written sources related to the topic being researched, journals, and scientific publications. The data source used was obtained indirectly. One example of innovation that can help Indonesian education is using simple learning media based on Snakes and Ladders. The Snakes and Ladders learning media is a learning media that is neatly arranged and in its use it uses the Snakes and Ladders game pattern in general, making it easy for students to adapt to this learning media. Making Snakes and Ladders learning media can be an alternative in the learning process so that it can create a teaching and learning atmosphere that is more varied, more enthusiastic, and more active. One of the learning media is Snakes and Ladders, which can be used in the teaching and learning process to train students' abilities in their language skills in Indonesian language lessons. This game can be a forum or place that students can use to play and learn.

Abstract

This comprehensive review aims to analyze and synthesize the existing literature on bias in AI algorithms, providing a thorough understanding of the challenges, methodologies, and implications associated with biased artificial intelligence systems.Employing a narrative synthesis and systematic literature review approach, this study systematically explores a wide array of sources from prominent databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. The inclusion criteria focused on studies that distinctly defined artificial intelligence in the education sector, were published in English, and underwent peer-review. Five independent reviewers meticulously evaluated search results, extracted pertinent data, and assessed the quality of included studies, ensuring a rigorous and comprehensive analysis. The synthesis of findings reveals pervasive patterns of bias in AI algorithms across various domains, shedding light on the nuanced aspects of discriminatory practices. The systematic review highlights the need for continued research, emphasizing the intricate interplay between bias, technological advancements, and societal impacts. The comprehensive analysis underscores the complexity of bias in AI algorithms, emphasizing the critical importance of addressing these issues in future developments. Recognizing the limitations and potential consequences, the study calls for a concerted effort from researchers, developers, and policymakers to mitigate bias and foster the responsible deployment of AI technologies. Based on the findings, recommendations include implementing robust bias detection mechanisms, enhancing diversity in AI development teams, and establishing transparent frameworks for algorithmic decision-making. The implications of this study extend beyond academia, informing industry practices and policy formulations to create a more equitable and ethically grounded AI landscape.

Abstract

Phishing continues to be a major issue not only affecting the internet users but also being a big problem for the cybersecurity world; university networks are the most probable attack targets due to their open infrastructures, diverse user population, and limited security resources. The breakthrough in artificial intelligence (AI), notably large language models, has not only made phishing attacks more sophisticated and realistic but also envisioning new defense techniques based on machine learning and natural language processing. This current research report is a systematic literature review (SLR) of 53 academic studies that examine the dual aspect of AI in promoting and hindering phishing attacks in higher education institutions (HEIs). The review reveals three prominent points: emails sent by AI are increasingly real and adaptable; AI-based detection systems are very effective in laboratory-like conditions but struggle against new and adversarial attacks; and human factors like lack of user awareness and slow incident reporting are still the main vulnerabilities. The research then proposes a multi-layered defense framework that includes infrastructure strengthening, AI detection, human-centered awareness training, incident response mechanisms, and governance policies. This framework provides a practical roadmap for HEIs to boost their cybersecurity resilience and play a part in the sustainable growth of the university.

Abstract

Background. This research addresses the intersection of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and women’s empowerment in Afghanistan, aligning with global initiatives and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The study aims to provide nuanced insights into the multifaceted impact of ICT on financial independence, economic empowerment, and health outcomes among Afghan women. Purpose. The research employs a purposive sampling method, involving 170 participants from diverse regions in Afghanistan to ensure representation from areas with varying socio-economic and cultural characteristics. Through a mixed-methods approach, including structured surveys and qualitative analysis, the study seeks to understand the perceptions of ICT and its experiences with women’s empowerment. Method. Structured surveys cover demographics, ICT perceptions, and women’s empowerment experiences. Qualitative data undergo thematic analysis, while quantitative analysis utilizes statistical methods such as ANOVA, logistic regression, chi-square tests, binomial tests, and descriptive statistics. Results. The findings underscore a consensus among participants on the positive impact of ICT, particularly on financial independence, economic empowerment, and health outcomes. Associations between telemedicine, digital health, and improved women’s health are identified. Binomial tests highlight success in bridging the digital gender gap and enhancing awareness. Positive perceptions of social media, online communities, and digital advocacy in promoting gender equality are revealed through descriptive statistics. Conclusion. This study contributes novel insights by comprehensively examining the impact of ICT on women’s empowerment in Afghanistan, covering diverse dimensions such as financial independence, economic empowerment, and health outcomes. The robust mixed-methods approach yields unique findings that enrich the existing literature on ICT and women’s empowerment.
