Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik tipologi fasad bangunan kolonial di Kota Blitar. Metode penelitian secara kualitatif-deskriptif dengan menganalisa setiap elemen arsitektural pada fasad bangunan melalu observasi langsung dan bantuan studi literatur. Kriteria pemilihan sampel sejumlah 6 bangunan mengacu pada undang-undang cagar budaya dan dipilih satu dari setiap fungsi bangunan yang terdapat pada Rencana Tata Ruang dan Wilayah Kota Blitar (stasiun, kantor, hotel, tempat peribadahan, tempat pendidikan, dan bangunan situs budaya). Hasil penelitian berupa karakteristik tipologi fasad bangunan kolonial berdasarkan elemen arsitektural, yaitu atap, dinding, pintu, jendela, ornamen, dan kolom. Keenam bangunan memiliki karakteristik bangunan kolonial sesuai dengan teori yang telah dikaji.This research aims to identify the typological characteristics of colonial building facades in Blitar City. The research method is qualitative-descriptive by analyzing each architectural element on the building facade through direct observation and literature study. The criteria for six samples refers to the cultural heritage law and selected from each building function found in the Blitar City’s Spatial and Regional Plan (railway station, office, hotel, place of worship, place of education, and cultural site building). The result of the research is the typological characteristics of colonial building facades based on the architecutal elements, such as roofs, walls, doors, windows, ornaments, and columns. All six buildings have colonial building characteristics in accordance with the theory that has been studied.
