Abstract

Assessment of soil quality to support precision farming systems can be carried out through spatial analysis. This study aimed to determine soil quality and the results of spatial analysis in terms of physical and chemical properties in Candikuning Village. The research was conducted using laboratory tests and mapping with QGIS software. Observed indicators were texture, porosity, C-organic, and total N. Methods used included the pipette method for texture, gravimetry for porosity, Walkley and Black method for C-organic, and Kjeldahl method for total N. Sampling was carried out using a systematic grid method with a total of 50 samples, and mapping was performed using inverse distance weighted interpolation. Results showed that soil texture consisted of sandy loam, loamy sand, and sandy loam. Soil porosity averaged 48.62%, with the lowest value at sample 17 of 34.39% and the highest at sample 5 of 62.77%. Chemical C-organic averaged 3.29%, with the lowest at sample 21 of 1.59% and the highest at sample 3 of 4.83%. Total N averaged 0.25%, with the lowest at sample 21 of 0.08% and the highest at sample 9 of 0.55%. Spatial analysis results showed that texture was dominated by sandy loam, porosity values mostly ranged 40.01–50.00%, C-organic values were mostly 3.01–5.00% (high criteria), and total N values were mostly 0.21–0.50% (medium criteria)
