Abstract

Tourism is a source of income that can be continually updated and rejuvenated, this form of rejuvenation of tourist areas can be in the form of renovations, and regular maintenance, therefore tourism is an important investment in the non-oil and gas sector for Indonesia. Tourism which is a future economic investment will automatically facilitate the circulation of goods and services in tourist attractions. Furthermore tourism will enhance national economic stability, but of course the success in tourism development as above will be felt if the supporting factors are well prepared. Tourism potential that is high in the Mentawai Islands Regency region should be optimized, not only seen as a potential regional income, but as an effort to preserve regional culture that has begun to be abandoned. As one of the main motivators of industrial development, tourism in the Mentawai Islands district government needs a good role to manage and market tourism products so that they can become a potential source of income for the region. Through various policy breakthroughs, it is expected that regional governments will be able to embrace various stakeholders for the sustainability of a competitive and sustainable tourism industry based on community empowerment.

Abstract

His study discusses coaching conducted by the Office of Cooperatives of Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade and Industry of the Mentawai Islands Regency on Small and Medium Enterprises. As is known, cooperatives and SMEs are an integral part of the national business world that has a very important purpose and role in economic development. Mentawai Islands Regency is one of the regencies located in West Sumatra Province, formed under RI Law No.49 of 1999, the district consists of 4 islands namely Siberut Island, Sipora Island, North Pagai Island and South Pagai Island. In addition there are several small islands. Over the years the development of SMEs in the Mentawai Islands Regency has increased. With this increase, the participation of the government, both local and central government, is needed to further increase the growth of the number of SMEs in improving the economy. But along with the development of SMEs in the Mentawai Islands Regency, other coaching such as counseling and training has not been evenly distributed. Counseling and training of SMEs is only done by the department of SMEs which are deemed necessary to do the counseling and training, not all SMEs in the Mentawai Islands Regency

Abstract

Motivasi belajar, pergaulan teman sebaya dan kompetensi dosen merupakan faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Berdasarkan survei awal yang pada 10 orang mahasiswa di Sumatera Barat ditemukan 6 orang memiliki prestasi akademik rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mahasiswa di Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2023. Penelitian dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei analitik bersifat observasional analitik dengan desain Cross Sectional. Penelitian bertujuan unutk mengetahui hubungan motivasi belajar, pergaulan teman sebaya, kompetensi dosen dengan prestasi akademik di Provinsi Sumatera Barat Tahun 2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat kepada Mahasiswa di Perguruan Tinggi dengan jumlah responden 154 orang. Data di analisis dengan univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi- Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan lebih dari separuh resonden memiliki prestasi akademik rendah (32,5%), motivasi belajar rendah (50,6%), pergaulan teman sebaya negatif (56,5%), kompetensi dosen yang tidak kompeten (49,4%). Berdasarkan uji statistikterdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara Motivasi Belajar $(p=0,000)$, pergaulan teman sebaya $(p=0,001)$, kompotensi dosen $(p=0,003)$ dengan Prestasi Akademik. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan antara Motivasi belajar, pergaulan teman sebaya, kompotensi dosen dengan Prestasi Akademik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka diharapkan perguruan tinggi dapat meningkatkan kompetensi dosen, meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dan pergaulan teman sebaya mahsiswa agar dapat meningkat prestasi akademik mahasiswa.
