Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of watering intensity on the growth and production of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). The research was conducted at Watumotobe Village, Kapontor district of Buton Regency on May 2018. The experimental design used in this study was a randomized Design Group (RAK) with 6 treatments and grouped into 3 groups to retrieve 18 units of experiment. The observation includes the plant's height (cm), number of leaves (blades), the amount of flower (tree-1), the amount of fruit (tree-1), and the weight of fresh fruit (g). The research results showed that the intensity of watering has effect on cayanne pepper in terms of plant height, number of fruit, and the weight of fresh fruit, however it does not have effect on the amount of leave and the amount of flower of the cayane pepper (Capsicum frustencens L.).

Abstract

The prospect of shallot (Allium cepa var. ascalonicum L.) cultivation is getting higher considering the increasing market demand every year. However, the limitations and conditions of the land did not allow shallot (Allium cepa var. ascalonicum L.) to grow and produce optimally. One of the efforts to increase the production of shallots (Allium cepa var. ascalonicum L.) on dry land is by using substrate hydroponic cultivation techniques. This research was conducted on Jalan Murhum, Lamangga Sub-district, Murhum District, Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province, taking place from Agust - October 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different planting media on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium cepa var. ascalonicum L.) on the substrate hydroponic system. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments of growing media namely rice husk charcoal (A), sawdust charcoal (B), coconut fiber powder (C), rice husk charcoal + sawdust charcoal (D), rice husk charcoal + coconut fiber powder (E), and sawdust charcoal + coconut fiber powder (F). Response variables were observed in the form of plant height growth, number of tubers, tuber diameter and plant fresh weight. Furthermore, the observed data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by the Honest Significant Difference test with a level of 5% on the data that showed a significant effect. Based on the results of observations and analysis, it was concluded that different planting media treatments did not have a significant effect on plant height, tuber number, and tuber diameter but significantly affected the fresh weight of shallot plants in the substrate hydroponic system, but rice husk charcoal + sawdust charcoal (D) planting media gave significant effect on plant fresh weight with an average value of 50 grams per clump.

Abstract

Siompu oranges are one of the national mainstay tangerines which were initially only found on Siompu Island, South Buton Regency. One of the causes of the lack of availability of siompu citrus seeds is the relatively long time to obtain seeds that are ready for planting from the seeds. This study aims to determine the vegetative propagation model that affects the successful growth of siompu citrus plants. The research was carried out from March to May 2020, in Kaimbulawa Village, Siompu District, South Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of one factor, namely vegetative propagation with 3 treatments; P1 = cuttings, P2 = shoot, and P3 connection= grafting. If the F count is greater than the F table at the 95% level, then continue with the LSD test at the 95% level. The responses observed were time of shoot appearance (days), number of shoots, number of leaves (strands) and percentage of life (%). Based on the results of the study, shoot grafting was the best treatment which had a high average number of shoots, number of leaves and percentage of life. Abstract

Tanaman Selada merupakan salah satu komoditi hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomis, memiliki prospek yang tinggi dan digemari oleh masyarakat luas.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian pupuk organik cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan bulan September tahun 2021 bertempat di Kelurahan Masiri, Kecamatan Batauga, Kabupaten Buton Selatan, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas satu faktor dan 6 taraf percobaan yaitu P0 (tanpa pupuk organik cair), P1 (dosis pupuk organik cair 1ml/1 liter air), P2 (dosis pupuk organic cair 2 ml/1 liter air), P3 (dosis pupuk organik cair 3 ml/1 liter air), P4 (dosis pupuk organik cair 4 ml/1 liter air), dan P5 (dosis pupuk organik cair 5 ml/1 liter air). Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan berat segar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa efek pemberian pupuk organik cairterhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada berpengaruh terhadap jumlah daun dan bobotsegar selada. Perlakuan P5 (dosis pupuk organik cair 5 ml/1 liter air) merupakan perlakuan terbaik dengan rata-rata jumlah daun terbanyak yakni 10 helai dan bobotsegar tertinggi sebesar 14.03 gram.

Abstract

Jeruk siam merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman holtikultura yang termasuk tanaman unggulan nasional karena banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Media Cangkok Terhadap Pertumbuhan Jeruk Siam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Agustus 2022 yang bertempat , di KelurahanNgkari-Ngkari,Kecamatan Bungi, Kota Baubau, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian in adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 6 taraf perlakuan yaitu M1 (Tanah), M2 (Pupuk Kandang Sapi + Tanah), M3 (Pasir + Tanah), M4 (Sekam Padi + Tanah), M5 (Arang Sekam + tanah), M6 (Abu Sekam + Tanah). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media cangkok berpengaruh nyata terhadap waktu muncul akar dan panjang akar. Perlakuan M2 (Pupuk Kandang Sapi + Tanah) merupakan perlakuan terbaik bagi tanaman jeruk siam dari aspek waktu muncul akar dan panjang akar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pupuk kandang ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman buncis (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Katampe Kecamatan Siompu Barat Kabupaten Buton Selatan Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara dari bulan Februari sampai April 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) P0 (Tanpa pupuk), P1 (20 t ha-1 setara 50,0 g polybag-1), P2 (25 t ha-1 setara 62,5 g polybag-1), P3 (30 t ha-1 setara 75,0 g polybag-1), P4 (35 t ha-1 setara 87,5 g polybag-1), P5 (40 t ha-1 setara 100 g polybag-1). Apabila F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel pada taraf 5 % maka di lanjutkan dengan uji BNJ pada taraf 5%. Respon yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), berat segar buah (g) dan jumlah polong per tanaman (polong). Rata-rata pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman buncis tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan P3 dengan dosis pupuk 30 t ha-1 setara 75,0 gram/polybag memberikan hasil yang optimal terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan jumlah polong per tanaman buncis, tetapi tidak memberikan hasil yang optimal terhadap berat segar buncis.
