Abstract

The community service activities carried out by lecturers at Musi Rawas University in Air Satan Village were based on the high cost of feed in duck farming, which reaches around 60–70% of the total production costs. This high cost is one of the main obstacles to the development of community livestock businesses, so efforts are needed to utilize alternative feed ingredients based on local resources that are economical, easy to obtain, and have good nutritional content. One local plant that has the potential to be utilized is the white turi (Sesbania grandiflora), because it has a fairly high protein content and abundant biomass production. This activity aims to increase the insight and skills of farmers in utilizing turi leaves as an alternative feed raw material for duck farming. The implementation of the activity was carried out through extension methods, training, and demonstrations of making rations from turi leaves for farmer groups. The results of the activity showed an increase in community knowledge and ability in processing turi leaves into feed flour with a protein content of up to 29.60%. In addition, demonstration plot units were also established in farmer households as a medium for practicing and implementing simple feed processing technologies. Overall, the use of turi leaves as an alternative feed ingredient is considered capable of helping reduce production costs, increase the efficiency of livestock businesses, and support feed independence and strengthen the economy of rural communities in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

There are many mathematics learning strategies used by educators to achieve more optimal results. The PAILKEM learning strategy is one of the learning strategies that makes it possible to achieve learning objectives. The purpose of this study is to improve comprehension results. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a significant influence of the PAILKEM learning strategy (Active, Innovative, Environmental, Creative, effective, and Interesting Learning) on understanding vector material. This research method uses an experimental method using a True Experimental Design. Data analysis was performed using the t-test. The results of the study, after testing the hypothesis using the t-test with a significant level of 0.05 and previously carrying out the normality test and homogeneity test, obtained tcount > ttable, namely tCount = 7.636> ttable = 1.6689, so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The conclusion in this study is that there is an influence of the PAILKEM learning strategy (Active, Innovative, Environmental, Creative, effective, and Interesting Learning) on the understanding of vector material.

Abstract

This study investigates undergraduate students’ understanding of grouped data analysis using SPSS within an interdisciplinary framework integrating statistics education, computer science, and educational psychology. Employing a descriptive qualitative design, the study involved 18 computer science students who had completed coursework in grouped data computation. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using iterative coding and thematic categorization. The findings reveal a gradient of understanding: 55.56% of students demonstrated high-level conceptual–procedural integration, 33.33% exhibited moderate understanding characterized by procedural competence with partial conceptual articulation, and 11.11% showed limited conceptual and interpretative ability. The results indicate that operational proficiency in statistical software does not automatically ensure statistical literacy. Students with higher understanding were able to justify class interval construction, interpret frequency distributions, and contextualize SPSS outputs within research applications. Conversely, lower-level understanding was associated with procedural dependency and limited interpretative reasoning. These findings reinforce contemporary perspectives emphasizing that technology-enhanced learning must integrate conceptual explanation, computational execution, and reflective interpretation. The study contributes to the discourse on interdisciplinary statistical education by highlighting the importance of aligning computational fluency with conceptual reasoning in higher education contexts. Strengthening pedagogical scaffolding in software-supported statistics instruction may enhance students’ readiness for quantitative research and improve the quality of undergraduate academic work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan studi mahasiswa Universitas Musi Rawas melalui pendekatan Analisis Regresi Logistik Ordinal dengan Indeks Prestasi Komulatif (IPK) sebagai variabel terikat. Variabel bebas yang dianalisis yaitu program studi, jenis kelamin, dan masa studi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 202 orang mahasiswa yang menyelsaikan studinya pada T.A. 2022-2023. Hasil analisis secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel bebas berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap nilai IPK. Nilai Odd Ratio menunjukkan peluang mendapatkan IPK ≥3,00 lebih besar berjenis kelamin laki-laki sebesar 3,20 kali dibandingkan perempuan, berasal dari prodi Ilmu Administrasi Negara 11,40 kali lebih besar dibandingkan dengan program studi lainnya, serta masa studi yang semakin lama juga akan meningkatkan peluang mendapatkan IPK ≥3,00  sebesar 2,59 kali
