Abstract

This research explores the impact of emotional intelligence on Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers and the role of education stakeholders through a qualitative literature study approach. The research findings indicate that emotional intelligence significantly contributes to the performance of PAI teachers, with positive implications for relationships with students, improvement of teaching quality, and stress management abilities. These findings are supported by previous research, such as those by Hashemi et al. and Herawaty. The participation of stakeholders, such as parents and school principals, in supporting the development of teachers' emotional intelligence becomes essential, especially in the context of Islamic religious education that emphasizes spiritual and moral dimensions. The development of teachers' character is also recognized as a primary foundation in shaping the character and morality of future generations. Therefore, training in emotional intelligence for PAI teachers, the integration of emotional intelligence content into the curriculum, and increasing teachers' awareness of the importance of emotional intelligence are recommended to enhance the quality of teaching, interpersonal relationships, and the well-being of PAI teachers. This, in turn, has a positive impact on stakeholders, including students and parents.
