Abstract

This religious extracurricular activity is one of the activities planned in the teaching and learning process where students are required to be active in teaching and learning activities, both during class hours and outside class hours, so that students are expected to be able to develop their interests and talents. The aim of this research is to find out how extracurricular activities are implemented in developing the interests and talents of students at the An-Nursali Islamic Boarding School, Binjai Timur Binjai City. In this research, qualitative research methods were used, researchers conducted structured and unstructured interviews with resource persons, namely extracurricular activity trainers, supported by documentation data and direct observation. The results of the implementation of religious extracurricular activities in developing the interests and talents of students at the An-Nursali Islamic Boarding School can be seen from the achievements obtained, namely having won muhadhoroh champion, hadroh santri day performing in front of the governor, and first place recitation on santri day. The values ​​of Islamic religious education contained in these extracurricular activities are Values ​​of aqidah (faith), Moral values ​​(trustworthiness, courage and patience), Values ​​of worship.
