Abstract

Human Resources is an important asset for organizational development. The role of human resources will be very important In facing various challenges and competition, it requires organizations to improve quality human resources, one of which is by increasing employee job satisfaction. This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of perceived organizational support on job satisfaction, the influence of perceived organizational support on work engagement, the influence of work engagement on job satisfaction, and the mediating influence of work engagement between perceived organizational support on job satisfaction. This research is quantitative research. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling or census. The research sample was all 36 non-permanent employees at the Population and Civil Registration Service of Tanah Laut Regency. Data analysis used path analysis with the SPSS 26 program. The results of the study concluded that (1) perceived organizational support had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction ; (2) perceived organizational support has a significant positive effect on work engagement ; (3) work engagement has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction ; and (4) work engagement partially mediates perceived organizational support and job satisfaction.
