Abstract

This article will describe about symbolic meaning and phylosophy value in Kraton Surakarta.In 1745 Sunan Paku Buwono II moved his court to nearby Surakarta where he had built a new palace. When the king ordered to move the capital city of Kartasura eastward to the banks of Javas longest river, it was certainly not without reasons. At that time over land communica­tion was scarce because of inaccesible swamps, high mountain ranges and impenetrable forests. But the city must have its outlet, its contact with outer islands and Bengawan then was the only economic and social life line. Keyword: Kraton Surakarta, phylosophy, symbolic

Abstract

Gula merupakan komoditas penting di pulau Jawa. Dalam sejarah, gula memberikan banyak manfaat kepada masyarakat Jawa selama berabad-abad tahun yang lalu. Salah satu industri gula terbesar adalah dari Mangkunegaran. Pabrik gula Mangkunegaran adalah Colomadu dan Tasikmadu yang mendatangkan devisa. Pabrik gula Kerajaan Kasunanan Surakarta juga dinamakan Manisharja. Masyarakat Jawa dapat berkutat di produki gula. Berdasarkan filsafat Jawa, gula dalam masyarakat Jawa mempunyai nilai filosofis. Komunitas tradisional menyanyikan tembang Dhandhanggula yang mempunyai nilai moral dan spiritual yang tinggi. Kata kunci: gula, filsafat, kearifan lokalAbstract The sugar is comodity product in Java land that very important. Historically sugar given wellfare to Javanese people long time ago. Example Pura Mangkunegaran kingdom had the big industry that make sugar. There are called Colomadu and Tasikmadu that come devisa. Kasunanan Surakarta kingdom had sugar industry named Pabrik Gula Manisharja. Javanese people can do in sugar industry. According to Javanese culture, specially sugar have philosophy value. Traditional community sing dhandhanggula song what fill morality and spirituality. The Javanese culture meet good teaching in Javanese song. The good behavior is needed in every school so that student are able to understand local wisdom.Keyword : sugar, philosophy, local wisdom

Abstract

Ranggawarsita is the great writer, who created much literature. He become pujangga by Kraton Surakarta in Sunan Paku Buwana IX goverment era. The Javanese people believe that Ranggawarsita has skill to read future signal. This is called Ramalan Ranggawarsita that wrotten in Serat Kalatidha. That book is often read to see social situation. As palace writer, Ranggawarsita is so make Serat Pustaka Raja that fill history of Java. there are say about mithology, spirituality, morality adn society. Serat Wirid Hidayat Jati written by Ranggawarsita aim to gibe description about harmonity between moslem doctrin and Javanese culture that can used to teach character education.Keywords: Ranggawarsita, liteture, character education
