Abstract

Background: Pregnancy is a decisive period for the quality of growth and development of children who are born, during pregnancy greatly determines the condition of the fetus in the womb. Nutritional needs during pregnancy have an important role in the condition of the mother and fetus. Pregnant women who have poor nutrition will experience Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) and cause risks and complications of pregnancy. The risk of pregnancy that occurs in pregnant women with KEK can cause fatal health problems such as congenital defects and will trigger preterm birth and IUGR. The purpose of this service is to increase knowledge about pregnant women's nutrition. The method uses discussion and demonstration. The participants of this activity were pregnant women in Tengguli Village, Sajat District, Sambas Regency. The results showed that there was an improving knowledge for pregnant women and could make menus related to balanced nutrition during pregnancy.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected maternal and child health services, resulting in a decrease in the target coverage of maternal and child health services. The implementation of local area monitoring of maternal and child health (PWS) with maternal and child health indicators (KIA) is one indicator of reducing maternal and infant mortality rates. The government is responsible for providing Maternal and Child health services (KIA), especially for infants and toddlers, to optimize the health service users of posyandu cadres, it is necessary to deliver information to the public. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge of posyandu cadres on infant health services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods The implementation of the service uses the lecturing and discussion method in the form of counseling to posyandu cadres, the media used is a google meet video teleconference. The participants of this activity were posyandu cadres in the UPTD Puskesmas Pontianak Barat. The results showed that counseling could increase postyandu cadres' knowledge related to infant services that needed to be carried out during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The pandemic of COVID-19 might affect the health of women during pregnancy. There is still limited information regarding the impact of COVID-19 on pregnant women. Antenatal and prenatal care education is needed for pregnant women, especially during this pandemic of COVID-19. Aim: To increase the level of knowledge about antenatal and prenatal care among pregnant women during the pandemic of COVID-19. Method: The activity was delivered through lectures, and pre-and post-test was taken before and after the lecture, respectively. The participant involved was 12 pregnant women. This Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (Community Service Program) was conducted in Sungai Bemban Village, Kubu District, Kubu Raya Regency. Result: The descriptive analysis shows that there is an increase in the level of knowledge in pre-and post-test, from poor (50%) to good (67%). Conclusion: The activity went well amid the pandemic of COVID-19. Health education for pregnant women during the pandemic of COVID-19 may be beneficial for the preparation of a healthy and safe delivery. Pregnant women can still consult and undergo antenatal care safely by observing the health protocol.
