Abstract

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is a non-ministerial government agency tasked with organizing and recording all national and international statistical data by statutory regulations. To fulfill the need for office building facilities and the desire to provide optimal services in the field of public services, it is necessary to consider constructing an Office Building for the North Labuhan Batu Regency Central Statistics Agency which is expected to be able to fulfill its function and utilization through optimal layout and architecture and can contribute positively for development in the region. So the concept of local and modern acculturation must be widely applied, where in this research we will discuss understanding the existence of local and modern elements in building design methods needed to foster and strengthen local values so that they can be preserved in modern era and enrich the culture itself. The research uses descriptive methods to describe research objects, analytical methods to dissect research objects with theory, and interpretive methods to conclude an effort to understand the dominance of local and modern values in design methods and defining forms. Acculturation is used or classified through the design of the central statistical agency office building for a region, including the North Labuhan Batu area.

Abstract

High-rise building plumbing systems face increasing challenges related to hydraulic efficiency, energy consumption, and sustainable water management. This study aims to analyze the evolution of plumbing system configurations, efficiency strategies, and emerging research trends through a Systematic Literature Review and bibliometric analysis of Scopus-indexed publications from 2000–2025. The novelty of this research lies in integrating hydraulic engineering, smart building technology, IoT, and AI within a unified analytical framework focused on tropical high-rise buildings. PRISMA methodology, Bibliometrix-R, and VOSviewer were employed to evaluate 751 documents. The results reveal rapid growth in smart plumbing research, emphasizing energy optimization, digital monitoring, and AI-based water management systems.

Abstract

Limited access to laboratory testing encourages communities to assess water mainly by clarity, odor, and taste. This approach cannot adequately detect changes in physicochemical characteristics. This community engagement program developed a Community Water Quality Screening model using TDS and pH meters in Bandar Baru Village. The model integrates education, calibration, duplicate measurements, restricted interpretation, risk communication, and laboratory referral. The analytical draft uses a structured simulated dataset of 48 participants and 72 water samples from six source types. Analyses included descriptive statistics, paired t tests, McNemar tests, Kruskal-Wallis tests, chi-square tests, Spearman correlations, intraclass correlation coefficients, and linear regression. Mean literacy scores increased from 42.0 to 70.6 out of 100, a mean increase of 28.5 points (95% CI 25.9-31.1; p<.001). 85.4% of participants mastered at least eight of ten procedural steps. Of 72 samples, 44 were classified as green, 22 as yellow, and 6 as red. Water source type was associated with screening category (chi-square=33.36; p<.001; Cramer V=0.48). Duplicate measurements showed very high consistency for pH (ICC=0.998) and TDS (ICC=1.000). The model offers a practical educational framework but does not replace microbiological and comprehensive chemical testing.
