Abstract

Bencana alam letusan gunung berapi merupakan fenomena alam yang dapat menimbulkan korban jiwa dan kerugian materil. Indonesia secara umum memiliki risiko tinggi terjadinya bencana vulkanik karena letak geografisnya. Salah satu wilayah di Indonesia yang sangat rawan terhadap bencana gunung berapi adalah wilayah perbatasan Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Kabupaten Sleman, Kabupaten Magelang, Kabupaten Boyolali, Jawa Tengah dengan Gunung Merapi. Untuk menangani mitigasi bencana Gunung Merapi, Pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman melalui Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah telah membentuk Early Warning System (EWS). Tower Early Warning System (EWS) memanfaatkan teknologi jaringan komputer untuk menyampaikan informasi ke kantor pusat. Sistem jaringan yang dibangun EWS untuk memantau bencana erupsi Gunung Merapi sangat luas sehingga memerlukan waktu yang cukup lama untuk pemeriksaannya. Inspeksi berkala oleh teknisi dilakukan untuk memastikan perangkat jaringan di EWS berfungsi dengan baik. Dengan mengimplementasikan the dude Mikrotik, teknisi dapat memantau kinerja perangkat jaringan pada EWS dari kantor pusat. The dude Mikrotik mampu mempercepat tindakan teknisi dalam memperbaiki masalah perangkat jaringan, memastikan perangkat di dalam EWS tetap berfungsi secara akurat

Abstract

The implementation of Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) is a crucial step in maintaining network security. This research aims to test the effectiveness of IDS and IPS in detecting and preventing TCP port scanning attacks and ICMP flooding attacks and also providing real-time notifications using Telegram. The methodology used includes configuring a test environment that reflects real network scenarios, where various attacks are initiated to test the IDS and IPS responses. The experimental results show that IDS is able to detect suspicious activity with a high degree of accuracy, while IPS is effective in blocking identified attacks, thereby reducing potential damage to the system. Proper implementation of IDS and IPS can significantly improve network security by early detecting and preventing cyberattacks.

Abstract

The issue with the remote access involved in the process of controlling and monitoring of electric lightings becomes an intriguing of a area to be further explored. IoT based remote control and monitoring system can be one of the solutions for this issue through the applications of ESP8266 as the main controller, PZEM-004T sensor to monitor the lighting's electricity, and a relay as the electrical switch for the lighting's contol. This system runs using Microphthon combined with Blynk. Also added into the system a web interface which utilizes Blynk API, thus enabling it to be accessed from all devices anywhere. The result showed that the system runs well. This study also showed that IoT technology can be applied in managing household appliances such as lightings.
