Abstract

Endometriosis is a chronic, estrogen-dependent gynecological disorder affecting women of reproductive age and is associated with persistent pain, organ dysfunction, and infertility. Despite the availability of various treatment options, its management remains challenging due to complex pathophysiology and variable responses to therapy. This literature review aims to summarize recent evidence on management strategies for endometriosis and to highlight their clinical implications. A descriptive literature review was conducted using a systematic search of four databases which are PubMed, Scopus, EBSCOhost, and ScienceDirect for articles published between 2020 and 2025. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, an initial search identified 45,014 records. After screening titles and abstracts and assessing full-text eligibility, six primary studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the final synthesis. The included studies were analyzed thematically and categorized into five main therapeutic approaches: hormonal therapy, immunological therapy, antioxidant therapy, surgical therapy, and traditional or complementary therapy. Overall, these strategies demonstrated potential benefits in reducing pain, improving fertility-related outcomes, and lowering postoperative recurrence when applied in appropriate clinical contexts. Rather than indicating a single optimal treatment, the findings emphasize the importance of individualized and multimodal management tailored to symptom severity, reproductive goals, and treatment tolerance. This review contributes to the existing literature by integrating diverse and emerging management strategies into a cohesive framework that supports clinical decision-making. Clinically, the findings underscore the value of patient-centered care, careful monitoring of treatment effects, and interdisciplinary collaboration, including psychosocial support, to optimize long-term outcomes for women with endometriosis.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the rate of premarital sexual behavior among adolescents continues to increase. In fact, HIV/AIDS and unwanted pregnancies cases increases every year as a result of adolescent premarital sexual behavior. The factors that can influence adolescent premarital sexual behavior is parental role in educating, guiding, and accompanying their children and self-control of adolescents. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental role and self-control towards adolescent premarital sexual behaviour in SMA ā€œPā€ Kota Bandung. The research method used was a quantitative correlation with a population of 556 students from 10th to 11th grade. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique with a total of 235 respondents were obtained. The research data were obtained using a questionnare regarding parental role, self-control, and premarital sexual behavior. The research data analyzed by using univariate and bivariate analysis with Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed that a significance value of p = 0,000 (p value < 0,05) was obtained for the parental role and p value of 0,000 (p value < 0,05) for the self-control. It can be concluded that there was significant relationship between parental role and self-control with adolescent premarital sexual behavior in SMA ā€œPā€ Kota Bandung.

Abstract

One of the causes of maternal death is uncontrolled complications of severe hypertension. In preeclampsia, the risk to the fetus is very high, such as delayed intrauterine growth, prematurity and intrauterine death. Signs and symptoms of severe preeclampsia should be used as an "alarm" by pregnant women with severe preeclampsia to prevent eclampsia. The aim of monitoring symptoms in severe preeclampsia is to avoid unwanted maternal or fetal complications. Case Mrs. M. age 33 G3P1A1 gravida 31 weeks 0 days, Patient is known to have had high blood pressure since 7.5 months of pregnancy, history of eclampsia, BP 153/105 mmHg, Potassium (2.2), Calcium ion 4.52. Based on this study case, the patient experienced hypokalemia and hypocalcemia, the concept of Orem self-care theory can be applied in identifying or assessing cases of severe preeclampsia in monitoring signs and symptoms of severe preeclampsia by recognizing the signs and symptoms. Orem's self-care theory makes individuals responsible for their own care which is part of awareness of the importance of maintaining the health of themselves and the fetus in their womb. Based on symptoms, patients can use assessment with a self-care approach to prevent eclampsia and HELLP syndrome.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a sensitive period that may predispose women to emotional and psychological changes. The loss of a fetus in utero, known as Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD), can result in severe psychological consequences, including grief, stress, and depression. However, research examining psychological interventions for women experiencing IUFD remains limited. This study aims to provide an overview of psychological interventions for mothers who experience Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD). This review employed a scoping review approach using three databases: PubMed, EBSCO, and ScienceDirect. The article selection process followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The search keywords included pregnancy or gestation, fetal death, IUFD, stillbirth, psychology, and nursing interventions. The inclusion criteria included peer-reviewed journals, English language publication, and RCT or Quasi-experimental studies. Based on the screening and eligibility process, seven articles met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that structured therapeutic approaches such as mind body group therapy, yoga, and art therapy are effective in reducing symptoms of depression and stress, while also enhancing self-acceptance and quality of life. Future research is recommended to integrate psychological, social, and spiritual approaches into nursing practice to support the emotional well-being of mothers following fetal loss.
