<![CDATA[Humans need to build relationships with other humans because they will definitely need the help of others to meet their needs. Interactions that occur between two or more individuals will result in a relationship. One of the relationships that can be formed is in the form of friendship. Friendship relationships have several aspects that are able to establish interaction between individuals, one of which is reciprocity. This is in accordance with the theory coined by George Caspar Homans, namely the Exchange Theory. One of the striking characteristics of exchange theory is cost and reward. Humans when interacting always consider the cost (cost or sacrifice) with the reward (gift or benefit) obtained from the interaction. In friendship there are also costs and rewards that make a friendship relationship last. This research belongs to the type of qualitative descriptive research with data collection methods using interviews. The results of this study reveal that the friendship analysis of the first grade students of Teguhan State Elementary School 2 is relevant to that expressed by Homans in the theory of exchange. These friendships tend to persist with an interaction because both individuals benefit in the form of gifts. Abstrak Manusia perlu membangun relasi dengan manusia lainnya karena pasti akan membutuhkan bantuan orang lain untuk mencukupi kebutuhannya. Interaksi yang terjadi antara dua individu atau lebih akan menghasilkan relasi. Salah satu relasi yang bisa dibentuk yakni berupa pertemanan. Hubungan pertemanan memiliki beberapa aspek yang mampu menjalin adanya interaksi antar individu salah satunya yakni adanya timbal balik. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori yang dicetuskan oleh George Caspar Homans yaitu Teori Pertukaran. Salah satu karakteristik teori pertukaran yang mencolok yakni cost and reward. Manusia ketika melakukan interaksi selalu mempertimbangkan cost (biaya atau pengorbanan) dengan reward (hadiah atau manfaat) yang didapat dari interaksi. Pada hubungan pertemanan juga terdapat cost and reward yang membuat sebuah hubungan pertemanan dapat bertahan. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa analisis pertemanan siswi kelas 1 Sekolah Dasar Negeri Teguhan 2 relevan dengan yang diungkapkan oleh Homans pada teori pertukaran. Hubungan pertemanan tersebut cenderung bertahan dengan sebuah interaksi karena kedua individu memperoleh keuntungan berupa hadiah.]]>
