Abstract

Seiring perkembangan dunia digital yang semakin maju khususnya di bidang musik, banyak gereja yang menyikapi kemajuan tersebut dengan mulai menerapkan sequencer dalam format ibadah liturgi. Salah satunya adalah Gereja Bethel Indonesia Jemaat Miracle Service, Yogyakarta. Gereja ini telah menggunakan sequencer dalam aransemen musik ibadahnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembuatan dan fungsi sequencer dalam penataan ibadah di Gereja Bethel Indonesia Jemaat Miracle Service. Abstract

This article delves into the intricate interplay between music and lyrical meaning in the song "Goodness of God." Grounded in the exploration of both musical and semantic elements, the study aims to unravel the artistic and emotional dimensions that contribute to the overall expression of beauty and the communication of God's Goodness. The analysis of the musical component encompasses a scrutiny of the melody's structure, rhythmical patterns, instrumental choices, and vocal techniques. Each element is examined for its contribution to the emotive and aesthetic qualities of the music. Concurrently, the examination of lyrical meaning involves a thematic interpretation and an exploration of denotative and connotative meanings within the lyrics.Furthermore, the research addresses the integration of music and lyrics, investigating how these elements harmonize to reinforce the message of God's Goodness. The artistic cohesion between the two facets is evaluated for its ability to create a harmonious and profound experience for the listener. In conclusion, the findings of this analysis not only offer insights into the specific artistic components of the song "Goodness of God" but also shed light on the broader connection between music and spirituality. This research contributes to the understanding of how musical expression and lyrical depth collaboratively convey the profound message of God's benevolence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the musical structure and lyrical meaning of Laura Story's song "Blessings." The primary challenge is understanding the complex and diverse music, which varies in form and style. The in-depth analysis includes melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, and instruments, as well as exploring the spiritual and theological messages in the lyrics. Using a qualitative approach, this research explains the musical structure and lyrical meaning of the song through hermeneutic and semantic methods. The song is divided into three main sections (A, B, C) with questions and answers in each section, forming a thematic development. The main conclusion of this study is that a deep understanding of the musical structure and lyrical context is essential for interpreting the emotional and spiritual depth of this song. This research contributes to the understanding of spiritual music and emphasizes the importance of God's blessings in musical expression.
