Abstract

Laser Cutting machine is a machine that uses a laser beam to cut or carve a particular material. This machine is aimed at small and medium enterprises (UKM) to produce creative products such as decoration, handicrafts, accessories and more. Previously it has been produced some machines that use lasers as cutting tools, but some of the table is very difficult to by UKM, because the price is expensive. In order to fulfill the needs of UKM for cheapest Laser Cutting machines, this research can be obtained Laser Cutting machine with the same function but with an affordable price. In the design process used Autodesk Inventor 2015 software as well as analysis of structural strength in this design. In the analysis process was done with 2 ways, with manual calculations and simulation using Autodesk Inventor 2015. Then from the calculation were results obtained voltage that occurs on the y-axis = 0.21 MPa on the x-axis 1.05 MPa then deflection that occurs on the y-axis = 1.67.10-3 and on the x-axis = 5.9 .10-2. Therefore, in this research is revealed a safe category of machine Laser Cutting machine.Keywords : Laser Cutting machine, stress, deformation

Abstract

In order to realize the energy-efficient car, there are many factors to be considered. One of them is the design of the chassis structure, which serves as a place of support for all components of the vehicle and the driver. The chassis design process starts from the selection of order type, material selection, model design and continued with static analysis. Static analysis is done in a manual way by calculating and using autodesk inventor software. The process of static analysis is in the engine, driver and driver. After the static analysis process continued with the manufacture of components and assembly. Chassis made with length of chassis 2060 mm x width 600 mm. And its chassis structure uses hollow aluminum 40 mm x 40 mm x 2 mm and hollow aluminum 25 mm x 25 mm x 2 mm. Based on the results of static analysis with manual calculations, obtained the maximum stress on the main stem 18,3 MPa And deflection main stem 3.35 MPa. Analyzes by using the autodesk inventor software obtained maximum stress on the main stem 19.4 MPa And deflection on the main bar rod 3.54 mm. The result of the minimum security factor using the inventory autodesk software 10.5. It was concluded that the chassis was still within the limits allowed in load modeling as defined and the main frame proved safe to use.Key Word : Chassis, Autodesk Inventor, Stress, Deformation, Energy Saving

Abstract

The CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machine is a tool equipped with a computer-controlled mechanical and control system capable of reading N, G, F, T, and other code instructions. The codes will be instructed to the CNC machine interface system, so that the machine can work in accordance with the program listings that have been made. In general the selling price of this machine is still very high. Therefore, in this study designed a CNC machine with low cost which is intended for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This CNC milling assembly machine has 3 axes that is X, Y and Z axis. In this research, the CNC milling 3 axes machine is consists of several important components such as guide ways, transmission system, driver and controller. These components are widely available in the market. CNC milling machine has dimensions size of machine length of 700 mm x width of 600 mm x height of 1227 mm. the CNC milling machine 3 axes has advantages that can make several types of wood carving products and acrylic. The results of the test where obtained accuracy of CNC milling 3 axes machine for Y axis that was 0.1946 mm and for X axis of 0.2463 mm.Key Words : CNC, dimensions, accuracy, axis

Abstract

Currently, the most common method of cutting steel is cutting with oxygen gas. Because the cutting method with manual cutting produces poor results and complicated processes. This plate cutting tool is made to facilitate the work especially in the field of construction. The used research method is based on the workprinciple of CNC 2 axis machine, because it is able to move in the direction of X and Y axis on the work plane, also has a hight accurancy and precision. This plate cutting tool use 3 Softwares, i.e Universal G-Code Sender as a controller, QCAD as a workpiece design and DXF2G-CODE as a code exporter. The manufacture ofmicrocontroller-based plate cutting tool results an easier plate cutting process, because the operator have to input the data according to the necessary only. From the X and Y axis movement and plate cutting velocity testing, the result data has equal magnitude between the program, simulation and actual condition.Key Words : Oxy-Cutting, Microcontroller, Arduino UNO.

Abstract

In designing a manipulator, several things need to be considered, which is like the singular condition of the manipulator. This is so that the manipulators can operate in a safe work area. This research will begin with modeling 3D serial manipulator 6R using Inventor software. This 3D model is needed to get join parameter values, namely a, d, θ and α. After obtaining the join parameters, a Forward Kinematic calculation is performed to get the end effector position when given a certain input angle using Matlab software. Then variations are made on the input angle θ2 (30° to 180°) and θ3 (-90° to 60°) and a graph that shows working space is obtained. To ensure that the calculations performed are correct, validation using inventor is done by providing an angle value for the second and third joints. Then the Jacobian matrix was built to obtain the singularity value of each configuration by determining the Jacobian matrix. The configuration is stated to be in a singular position if the det (J) is approaches 0. With the variation in input angle obtained, the manipulator range is -471 mm to 2967 mm on the Z axis and -1936 mm to 2699 mm on the X axis. he singular manipulator is occur when θ3 - 8.1 . From these results it can be stated that the manipulator cannot be in the configuration of θ3 - 8.1 . his is in line with the manufacturer's recommendations which only allow θ3 minimum -75 .keywords: manipulator, serial manipulator, DH parameter, forward kinematics, arm robot, singularity.

Abstract

When designing a car, it is very important to pay attention to the construction and design of the vehicle. This is useful for getting the security and comfort of users in driving a car. In this study, car body design must have the smallest drag coefficient possible. if the vehicle has a large drag coefficient value, it has a large influence on the efficiency or performance of the vehicle, especially in cars with a large Cd value that will greatly affect vehicle speed. This is useful for minimizing the fuel used, and allows the vehicle to reduce the friction forces caused by air while driving. To get drag coefficients, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software is used. The software used is Solidworks Flow Simulation. From the results of aerodynamic simulations on four alternative car bodies carried out in this study, the smallest Cd (Coefficient Drag) is the second car body model, which has a Drag Coefficient (Cd) = 0.21Keywords: Car, Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Drag Coefficient
