Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks editorial dengan media video straight news pada siswa kelas XII MIPA 1 SMA Wachid Hasyim 1 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan desain siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII MIPA 1 SMA Wachid Hasyim 1 Surabaya, Sampel penelitian sejumlah 28 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks editorial pada siswa kelas XII MIPA 1 SMA Wachid Hasyim 1 Surabaya. Siklus 1, 35% siswa memenuhi KKM. Siklus 2, 90% siswa memenuhi KKM. Katakunci: keterampilan menulis; teks editorial; video straight news Abstract: This study aims to determine the improvement of editorial text writing skills using straight news video media in class XII MIPA 1 SMA Wachid Hasyim 1 Surabaya. This study used classroom action research methods with the design of cycle 1 and cycle 2. The population in this study were students of class XII MIPA 1 SMA Wachid Hasyim 1 Surabaya, with a sample of 28 students. The results showed that there was an increase in the skills of writing editorial texts in class XII MIPA 1 SMA Wachid Hasyim 1 Surabaya. Cycle 1, 35% of students fulfill KKM. Cycle 2, 90% of students fulfill KKM. Keywords: writing skill; editorial text; straight news video
