Abstract

Feminism is a movement of women fighters who want equal rights and equal roles between men and women who are both God's creatures. History records that until now there are still many women who have not received their rights, and equality of roles between men and women has not been realized fairly. Muslim scholars and religious scholars consider feminism not a problem in Islam because in principle feminism has a close relationship with Islamic theology. Islam regulates the obligations and rights of men and women very fairly. Each has a function and role according to nature, there is no subordination between the two. This study aims to determine how Islam views the concept of feminism and gender equality. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by taking data from various library sources related to the concept of feminism and gender equality from an Islamic perspective. The findings of this study are that men and women have equal rights and equal roles.

Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers include preventive measures (advice, teaching discipline through memorization), curative (advice, educational punishment, summons to the BK room, teacher approaches with students for minor delinquency; reprimands, discussions with parents and authorities, regular supervision for serious delinquency), and religious formation. Abstract

Hadith is the second source of Islamic teachings after the Qur'an. Throughout history, Muslims have had various approaches to understanding and practicing hadith. Some understand hadith as a valid and correct legal basis for human life, because it originates from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Others deny or reject it because its veracity is considered uncertain and because they believe that everything is explained in the Qur'an, thus requiring no other source. This article will explore how hadith were understood and practiced by early Muslims, and how differences of opinion and interpretation have influenced their understanding of hadith.
