Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) of STIBA Makassar in Borong Village, Tanralili District, Maros Regency is driven by the phenomenon of the community’s limited knowledge in reading and understanding the Qur’an. Therefore, this study aims to examine the extent of students’ roles in serving the community as a manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particulary in the implementation of Qur’an literacy programs. The method of implementing the community service program begins with mapping the problems and needs of the community using SOAR Analysis. After the analysis is conducted, work programs are formulated according to the community’s needs. Based on the results of the analysis, several programs were designed, including Qur’an Teaching (for children and youth), Arabic Language Teaching, Tahsīn al-Qirā’ah, Ramadan Intensive Courses, Funeral Management Training, Distribution of Iqra’ Books, Righteous Children Festival, Grand Tabligh, Distribution of Preachers and Tarawih Imams, Ramadan Qur’an Recitation and Iftar Distribution, and Social Service Activities. All these programs have been successfully implemented and have shown initial results in line with the objectives set for the KKN.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Arabic and Indonesian grammar in the form of imperative sentences by describing the similarities and differences between them. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a comparative research methodology which consists of three research steps, namely describing imperative sentences in Arabic and Indonesian grammar, collecting sides of similarities and differences in imperative sentences in Arabic and Indonesian grammar, and predicting students' difficulties in learning Arabic because of the grammatical differences that exist between them. The results of the study show that the two languages ​​have similarities in: 1) commands and times, where the imperative sentences in both languages ​​are addressed to the interlocutor and for the present or future time; 2) there is no change in the form of imperative sentences in Arabic grammar, especially in ism fi'il amr and maṣdar na'ib ‘an fi'il amr, which also occurs in Indonesian grammar; 3) the order of command sentences in both languages ​​consists of fi'il (verb) and fa'il (subject). The grammatical differences between the two languages ​​lie in the breadth of Arabic in the variety of uslub, suitability in type (male or female), number, and personal (speaker, interlocutor and spoken to) where this is a difficulty for Indonesian students in learning Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Arabic and Indonesian grammar in the form of prohibition sentences, by discussing the similarities and differences between them, after describing their respective grammars to find out where the difficulties of Indonesian students in learning Arabic, especially in prohibition sentences. This study uses a comparative research methodology through three research steps, namely: (1) to describe prohibited sentences in Arabic and Indonesian grammar; (2) collect the similarities and differences in the prohibition sentences in Arabic and Indonesian grammar; (3) predicting the difficulties of students in learning Arabic due to grammatical differences between Arabic and Indonesian. The results of this study indicate that the two languages ​​have similarities in: 1) prohibition and its era, where the prohibition sentence in both languages ​​is addressed to the interlocutor, for the present or future time; 2) the prohibition sentence using only one tool "لا", "don't"; 3) this prohibition tool is always before the prohibition sentence; 4) does not require adjustments between prohibition tools and prohibition sentences, both on the type and number of objects. The grammatical differences between these two languages ​​lie in the breadth of Arabic in the variety of method and suitability in type (male or female), number, and personal (speaker, interlocutor and spoken to) where this is a difficulty for Indonesian students in learn Arabic.
