Abstract

ABSTRACT Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer are significant global health challenges, particularly in developing countries. Understanding healthcare utilization for NCDs is critical to improving healthcare outcomes and patient quality of life. This study aims to analyze trends and identify research gaps in healthcare utilization for NCDs through bibliometric analysis. With this approach, this study seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of research developments in this field and identify areas that require further attention. This study used bibliometric analysis with the Publish or Perish app and a Google Scholar search using the keywords "factors," "influences," "health service utilization," "non-communicable diseases," and "basic health services." From the search results, the top 50 journals from 2017 to 2024 were selected for analysis. The data were classified by year of publication, journal type, number of citations, and researcher country, and analyzed using VOSviewer to identify research patterns and gaps. The analysis showed that research was concentrated in highly ranked journals and developed countries, with key terms such as "non-communicable disease," "factor," "use," and "health." This research identifies gaps in implementation policies, innovative approaches, and healthcare utilization factors that are not yet fully understood. Understanding research trends and gaps can guide future research and policy development efforts to improve the effectiveness of interventions and policies in the management of NCDs globally. Keywords: Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Health Service Utilization, Primary Health Care, Health Influencing Factors

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting is a significant public health problem in many developing countries, including Indonesia. It affects not only children's physical growth but also their cognitive development and learning ability, ultimately impacting the quality of future human resources. Effective and timely nutrition interventions are essential to prevent stunting and ensure children reach their full potential. This bibliometric study aims to analyze the trends and focus of research related to nutritional interventions in children under five, with an emphasis on the role of mothers and the impact of supplementary feeding programs in stunting prevention. Using the Publish or Perish and VOSviewer applications, this study examined publications from Google Scholar between 2018 and 2024, identifying keywords, journal distribution by year, journal type, number of citations, and country of origin. The results revealed important findings regarding the central role of mothers, the importance of maternal nutrition knowledge, and complementary feeding practices in stunting prevention. The analysis identified four main clusters in the literature, showing a strong focus on the role of mothers, nutrition knowledge and complementary feeding practices. The study also highlighted the trend of increasing publications over the years and the dominant contribution of Indonesian researchers. Overall, the findings suggest that interventions targeting improved maternal knowledge and skills in complementary feeding are essential for effective stunting prevention. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of current research trends and identifies potential research gaps that can be further explored to improve the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and stunting prevention programs. Keywords: Stunting, Nutrition Interventions, Maternal Role, Complementary Feeding, Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract

ABSTRACT Electronic Medical Records (EMR) completeness and accuracy are fundamental to effective patient care, clinical decision-making, and overall healthcare management. In recent years, there has been increasing attention to improving EMR documentation by healthcare professionals to improve data quality and patient care outcomes. This bibliometric study aimed to explore the trends, research focus, and gaps in the literature regarding EMR completeness from 2019 to 2024. The study used Publish or Perish software to collect data from Google Scholar with specific keywords such as Performance, Factors, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), EMR Completeness, Primary Healthcare, Filling, Documentation, and Medical Record Accuracy. The analysis included the 30 highest ranked journals. In addition, VOS Viewer was used for network visualization, overlay, and density to analyze thematic linkages and identify potential research gaps. Bibliometric analysis showed that Indonesia, the United States, and Ethiopia were the main contributors in EMR-related publications. Frequent themes such as data completeness, quality, and accuracy, emphasize their crucial role in the EMR research field. These findings emphasize the importance of continuously improving EMR data completeness and accuracy, which are critical for reliable clinical decision making and effective healthcare delivery. Future research should focus on developing methodologies to improve data quality and integration of EMR systems with other health information systems. In addition, exploration of policy and regulatory implications related to EMR completeness may provide valuable insights for healthcare practice. Keywords: EMR Completeness, Data Quality, Bibliometric Analysis, Health Documentation, VOS Viewer.
