Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the cost of production, revenue, profit, income over feed cost (IOFC) and break even point (BEP) with the use of betel nut in mercial feed of broiler chickens. The study livestockwas 96 heads (KV = 7.62%). The design used is a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 4 treatments, 6 tests and each test there are 4 broiler chickens. The treatment tried was P0: commercial feed without the addition of betel nut P1: commercial feed + 1% betel nut bonak, P2: commercial feed + 1% irian betel nut irian and P3: commercial feed + 1% ornamental betel nut hias.Data analysis is an economic analysis which includes, production costs, receipts, profits, IOFC and BEP. The results of the analysis showed that giving different types of betel nut as feed additives to broiler chicken feed had no real effect on the cost, receipt, profit and IOFC. The production of this study as many as 54 heads has been able to restore the production costs incurred and the price is smaller than the market price, so it can be concluded that this research is profitable.
