Abstract

The art of Local culture will be more meaningful because of being able to push the spirit of love with the pluralism toward human's life and universe. Meanwhile, media technology as the physical result of culture that lacks spiritual values ??if compared to custom, religion and art will lose its function to increase human's life quality. Values, norms and ethics contained in customary rules that are reflected in art of culture are indeed useful references in the globalization era. This research used qualitative data that were then analyzed descriptively. According to Alvin Boskoff's thought, it shows that factors becoming challenges for local culture are the change of cultural value systems in society and the death of traditional art forms in several areas in Nusantara caused by technology in the global era. The art of Local culture is one of components that gives Indonesian identity as a special community that exists among nations in this world. Therefore it is necessary to grow awareness particularly in young generations in order to comprehend more about their culture by empowering local wisdom growing in the cultural areas of whole Nusantara. Abstract

The art of writing on palm leaves is a Balinese traditional heritage that is still alive today, although it is not found in all areas of Bali. Karangasem Regency, Bali is one of the districts with a palmyra cultural ecosystem that is still alive amidst the onslaught of globalization. The author will link the palm oil cultural ecosystem in Karangasem which still exists with the concept of Tri Hita Karana teachings using qualitative descriptive methods with data collection through observation and literature study. The research results show that the lontar cultural ecosystem in Karangasem is an application of the Tri Hita Karana (THK) teaching concept. How balance is closely intertwined between humans and God (Parahyangan), between each other (Pawongan), and with nature (Pabelasan). The theo-anthropological aspect is a Balinese human view of the cosmic by placing religious values as the "spirit" of every Balinese cultural product, including the lontar culture in Bali. The same thing can be seen in the teachings of theo-ecology as an implicit teaching in the lontar tradition in Bali. All of this goes hand in hand and is in line with the Tri Hita Karana concept.
