The higher the media exposure in the disaster experience, the more positive the level of risk perceptionthe lower the rating score of the likelihood of occurrence of a perceived disaster. The results of this study also found that the usefulness of traditional media is higher than that of new media, and this result is especially true in Kajarkuning Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, East Java Province.
