Abstract

The effectiveness of employee work in airline companies is strongly influenced by the validity of aircraft departure and arrival data. This study found that the use of Microsoft Excel alone has no significant influence on employee work effectiveness without the validity of departure and arrival data as an intervening variable. Valid data, which is data that is accurate, detailed, and has minimal errors, plays a key role in improving employee work effectiveness. The use of Microsoft Excel becomes significant in improving work effectiveness only when the validity of departure and arrival data is considered. This is evidenced by the results of the study showing a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 and a T-test between Microsoft Excel and employee work effectiveness of 0.0448, which indicates no significance without intervening variables. However, with the validity of departure and arrival data as an intervening variable, the T-test value increases to 0.001, and the Sobel test shows a significant effect with a T-count value of 6.190 > 2.052. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.929 indicates that 92.9% of the variability in employee work effectiveness can be explained by the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. Thus, the validity of aircraft departure and arrival data is an important factor in maximizing employee work effectiveness through the use of Microsoft Excel at the terminal operations center of PT Angkasa Pura II Soekarno-Hatta.

Abstract

Airports have a very important role in the smooth process of passengers who will make flights, the workforce at the airport in carrying out their duties needs to be done quickly and precisely as well as the duties and responsibilities of Aviation Security (AVSEC). This includes the duties of AVSEC in ensuring flight security and safety, As an International Airport that has a large number of passengers, Supadio Pontianak International Airport needs to maintain passenger comfort in terms of security and service. This study aims to determine the effect of workload on the discipline of Aviation Security officers at Supadio Pontianak International Airport and to determine how much influence workload has on the discipline of Aviation Security officers at Supadio Pontianak International Airport. This research was conducted on Aviation Security officers at Supadio Pontianak International Airport, while the research time was for 30 days from October 1 - October 31, this study used a quantitative approach method, with Aviation Security officers as Research Subjects, the population in this study amounted to 81 and used a sample of 81 respondents, the data used in this study were primary data in the form of questionnaires through google form, before the research was carried out, the instrument was first tested with a validity test and reliability test involving 81 avsec personnel at supadio pontianak international airport. The results of this study indicate a positive influence on workload (X) on discipline (Y) on Avsec personnel at the international airport supadio pontianak, Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the R square value is 0, 180 or equal to 18%, meaning that the workload variable (X) affects the discipline variable (Y) by 18%, while the remaining 100% - 18% = 82% is influenced by other variables outside the regression equation or variables that are not studied. Keywords: The Effect of Workload on the Discipline of Aviation Security Officers.

Abstract

Based on PM 30 of 2021 concerning User Service Standards, check-in services at the airport are carried out at least 2 hours before the departure schedule, while the check-in service procedure has a time limit of two minutes and thirty seconds for each passenger, and the check-in queue can last for twenty minutes per passenger. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of check-in counter queue time on Citilink airline passenger satisfaction at General Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang and how big the influence is. This study uses a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at General Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang with a focus on the object of the Citilink airline passenger check-in counter queue. The research period was from August to February 2024. The questionnaire was used as a data collection tool in the form of a form containing questions or statements that must be filled in for 100 respondents. Based on the results of the test and data analysis that has been done, the effect of check-in counter queue time on Citilink airline passenger satisfaction at General Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, the results of the hypothesis test obtained t count greater than t table, namely 5.745> 1.660 and with a significant value smaller than the probability of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected or can be called the queue time variable has a positive effect on the passenger satisfaction variable. This means that if the queue time at the check-in counter experienced by passengers is getting longer because the service provided is still not in accordance with the standard, then passenger satisfaction will have an effect resulting in higher passengers who are less satisfied and vice versa if the queue time is short or in accordance with the provisions, passengers will feel satisfied.

Abstract

An Airport Pass is a special permit granted to an individual or group to enter a restricted area of an airport environment. The airport area has areas that can only be passed by officers and aviation service users with certain requirements such as, Security Restricted Area, Sterile Area, Restricted Area, Public Area. Avsec Awareness is the provision of counseling and understanding of aviation security concerns, and Background Check is a background check to ensure that applicants are not involved in crimes, falsifying documents, providing false information/data and being involved in prohibited organizations. The role of the Airport Authority Office in controlling the issuance of Airport Passes is very important to ensure that individuals who have access to restricted areas are in accordance with applicable regulations. This study aims to determine the implementation of avsec awareness & background check process control in the issuance of permanent person passes and identify the obstacles faced during the implementation of the process. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with data obtained from primary and secondary sources. Primary data was collected through observation and interviews, while secondary data was sourced from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), photo documentation, and literature studies. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, by testing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of this study show that the Region III Airport Authority Office can carry out its duties in accordance with SOPs, including control of the avsec awareness and background check process in the issuance of permanent person passes and the responsibility of the Region III Airport Authority Office in conducting supervision for airport pass holders.

Abstract

Flights from Bima to Yogyakarta can be done via transit or non-transit flight routes. The selection of flight routes carried out by cadets of the Yogyakarta Aerospace Technology College (STTKD) is quite important to know the factors that are considered in choosing the flight route to be taken, in addition, this route selection offers different alternatives in terms of travel time, ticket costs and comfort in transit and non-transit flights. With accurate information, cadets can choose the most efficient and economical option, so as to minimize their experience in traveling using air transportation. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. Where this research method is a method of research that is descriptive and tends to use analysis. Based on the results of data analysis of five selected sources, it shows that the selection of flight routes from Bima to Yogyakarta is influenced by several main factors such as travel time, price, and comfort. In this study, the data validity checking technique used is the triangulation technique, where the triangulation technique is to test the credibility of the data carried out. In the selection of transit flight routes, the comfort of the service is more dominant, while for non-transit flight routes, the ticket price and travel time are more dominant. Of the two flight routes, each has its own main factors in selecting a flight route, namely price, travel time, and comfort.

Abstract

Passengers or users of air transportation services are increasingly experiencing flight delays and cancellations. Where the Super Air Jet airline experienced damage resulting in flight cancellations, which resulted in passengers experiencing losses in terms of both material and time. This study aims to determine how air transportation is responsible for flight delays and cancellations at the airport. This study uses a qualitative method, where this study is descriptive. Data collection in this study was through interviews, observations and documentations in the field. The results of this study indicate that air transportation is required to provide passengers with rights, namely compensation in accordance with applicable provisions in the form of food and drinks and Rp. 300.000,00 (three hundred thounsand rupiah). However,in practice passenger rights are not in accordance with receiving compensation provided by the airline. This study concludes that there must be supervision, law enforcement and firmness so that passenger rights can be protected and receive optimal justice in the world of aviation.

Abstract

SISFOANGUD is an operational data reporting apllication developed by the Ministry of Transportation to digitalize work processes in the air transportation sector. This study aiims to analyze the implementation of SISFOANGUD (Sistem Informasi Angkutan Udara) in supporting the work efficiency of information Unit officers at Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin in Bima. The underlying issue of this research is thet information unit staff still tend to rely on manual recording, one habit that persists is writing data ob small pieces of paper first before inputting it into the application. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and self appraisal. The data analysis technique used was thematic analysis, with data validity tested through source and technique trianggulation. The results of the study show that the SISFOANGUD application can support the work effiency of Information Unit officers if it is used consistently, supported by clear standard operating prosedures (SOP), continuous training, a shift in work culture toward digital systems, and increased self awareness among staff.

Abstract

South Korea is a country on the southern part of the Korean peninsula and the majority religion is not Islam. To worship or find halal food that is permissible for consumption by Muslims there is quite difficult. After the success of its cultural diplomacy in the form of Hallyu, in 2009 Korea also launched kimchi diplomacy and was quite successful, so that Muslim countries are getting to know Korean cuisine. Then, around 2014 Korea also developed halal food gastro diplomacy for Muslim tourists who traveled to South Korea. There are reasons that make Korea interested in building halal food diplomacy even though the majority of the population is non-Muslim. For this reason, through this paper the author has a research objective to analyze the factors that influence South Korea to develop halal food gastro diplomacy towards Muslim tourists. By using qualitative methods, this study found that South Korea developed halal food gastro diplomacy towards Muslim tourists to build good relations with Muslim countries, and improve the South Korean economy through tourism.
