Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the facilities and infrastructure of senior high school science laboratory in Padang Pariaman Regency. Senior high school 1 Lubuk Alung. Senior high school YDB Lubuk Alung, Senior high school 1 Kayu Tanam, Senior high school 2 Lubuk Alung and Senior high school 1 Batang Anai. Data collection techniques through questionnaire / questionnaire instruments used to reveal data about laboratory facilities and infrastructure. Based on the analysis of the data it was found that the state of the laboratory in terms of facilities and infrastructure at five schools in Padang Pariaman Regency was in the fairly complete category

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the utilization of the science laboratory of SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung. The population in this study were students who had used the science lab at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung, science teacher and manager of the science laboratory with a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire to determine the effectiveness of the use of science laboratories. Analysis and discussion are carried out in quantitative descriptive way. Based on the analysis of the data obtained by research findings that the utilization of the science laboratory in SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Alung as a whole scores 78.0% which is classified as an effective category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship of reading interest with news writing skills of class VIII SMP 24 Padang. The population in this study were class VIII students of SMP 24 Padang as many as 252 students. The sample in this study amounted to 40 students whose sampling was done by proportional random sampling. Data collection is done through questionnaires and performance tests. Questionnaire is used to determine the level of mastery of students' reading interest, performance tests are conducted to find out the results of news writing skills. Data analysis and discussion were carried out descriptively correlational. Based on the results of data analysis obtained the following research findings. First, the level of mastery of reading interest in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 24 Padang is quite adequate, which is equal to 67.85. Second, the level of mastery of news writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 24 Padang is quite sufficient, which is 73.5. Third, the correlation coefficient of reading interest with news writing skills is quite sufficient at 0.448.
