Abstract

This qualitative study shows the importunateness, proceeding and conditions of micro finance in Afghanistan banking system with the illustrated case of first micro finance bank in Afghanistan. Due to importunateness of micro finance the international finance corporation (IFC) reports that 65 million enterprises in the developing economies or 40 percent of formal micro-small and medium sized enterprises(MSMEs), have an unmet funding need of $ 5,2 trillion annually equal to 1,4 times the current amount of global MSMEs loans. The data of the study for further analyzing is taken from the corporate websites of each banks form the financial statement, cash flows, and balance sheet based on specific financial periods (years). The banks are compared due to their Christistics, Advances to the customers , launching the types and subtypes of micro finance , analyzed some main items of income statement, cash flows, changes in equities and finally the first micro finance bank is compared to other banks of Afghanistan which includes in Afghanistan banking system as result: the first micro finance bank of Afghanistan took 12th place in total asset, 9th in total equities and 12th in total liabilities compared to other banks.
