Abstract

Principles of human resource management have been developed for a long time, in which each era has different goals of management that have been adjusted in each era. Therefore, the human resource management process that is most important to the success of the organization is the recruitment and selection process. This process focuses on finding human resources with knowledge, skills, and abilities to work in the organization. Therefore reviewing the developments in the recruitment and selection of human resources. Starting from the era of Human Resources 1.0 (HR1.0), focusing on individual qualities. The Human Resource 2.0 era (HR2.0) focuses on recruitment and selection based on competency. Later, Human Resource 3.0 (HR3.0) era focused on attracting talented people to work. And human resources 4.0 (HR4.0) is an era in which business is very prominent in the eyes of consumers. Creating value in products and services is to create an image of the organization to attract people who have the same values as the organization to work and it is an era where organizations compete for personnel to join the team in promoting the organization's strategic plan. The last era that organizations are facing a huge challenge of transformation is the era of Human Resources 5.0 (HR5.0), an era in which recruitment and selection are based on digital technology. The introduction of various tools or platforms plays a huge role in the recruitment and selection of human resources.
