Abstract

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system on IoT-based solar power plant using HMI, PC, and Smartphone interfaces. HMI uses KTP 700 Comfrot, Siemens S7-1200 PLC connected to the internet via Ngrok, using Siemens TIA Portal V17. The purpose of monitoring the realtime state of the PLTS such as the condition of batteries, solar panels, inverters and loads used and maintaining from troubleshooting. This research designs hardware and software devices to develop a SCADA system. including PLC, HMI, PC, battery, SCC, inverter, solar panel and sensor devices and other actuators are arranged in such a way. software design is carried out in TIA Portal to program PLC and HMI, Node Red as an implementation of the internet of things. in the research it can be concluded that the application of ngrok on the localhost system is very easy, because it does not require a homebase to connect with an external network. and the output of solar panels is not always monitored by the temperature and solar radiation of the SCADA system on solar power plants based on the internet of things. the implementation of the internet of things uses Node Red and Ngrok software as a link between localhost and external networks. So the internet of things in this test can be controlled and monitored remotely with a cacatan must always be connected to the internet. Monitoring, control and data access systems work well

Abstract

DC motors are widely used as drives in various industrial applications. To ensure optimal performance, precise control of DC motors is essential, including managing rotation direction, speed, braking, and starting current. This paper presents a speed control system for a DC motor using a 4-quadrant DC chopper with a neural network as the control core. The system is designed and implemented on a 12V DC motor and tested under varying speed conditions. Motor speed is adjusted in MATLAB Simulink according to operational requirements. The results confirm that the proposed DC motor speed control system, utilizing a four-quadrant chopper, functions effectively, providing accurate speed control through MATLAB Simulink.

Abstract

Various electrical equipment utilizes direct voltage (DC) as a power source. Examples of this equipment include various electronic devices as well as DC motors and others. The direct voltage used usually has various ratings, ranging from 1.5 volts to 12 volts, and other numbers. To ensure that the direct voltage is in accordance with the tool's needs, it is necessary to control this voltage. This control is generally carried out using a power converter. In this research, buck-boost converter output voltage control will be implemented using the Fuzzy Mamdani method with an Arduino Atmega 2560. The control system developed will be tested through experiments in the input voltage range between 12 to 24 Volts, with a maximum output of 18 Volts. The experimental results show that the Fuzzy Mamdani based buck-boost converter output voltage control system successfully regulates the output voltage according to the desired reference value

Abstract

The Dahlander motor is a three-phase induction motor capable of operating at two distinct rotational speeds by altering the stator winding configuration between star (Y) and delta (Δ). This dual-speed feature is essential for industrial machines such as cranes, lathes, and conveyors that require variable speed operation. However, conventional manual control methods are still widely used, posing risks to operational efficiency and safety. This study presents the design and implementation of an automated control system for a 1.3 kW Dahlander motor using a Siemens S7-1200 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), a KTP 700 Comfort Human Machine Interface (HMI), and an Internet of Things (IoT) platform based on Node-RED. The system supports remote control via HMI panels, personal computers, and smartphones through a web-based interface using the Profinet protocol. The control logic is developed in the TIA Portal environment, enabling selection between low-speed and high-speed modes. Experimental results demonstrate that the system effectively controls motor speed with accurate and stable operation. The integration of HMI and IoT provides real-time remote monitoring and control capabilities, enhancing operational reliability and minimizing human error. This integrated system offers a cost-effective and adaptive solution for local industries, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to embrace Industry 4.0 technologies

Abstract

Abstract

Induction motors are widely used in industrial applications, particularly as blower drives, due to their simplicity, durability, and high efficiency. However, when operated at constant speed without considering load conditions, these motors often cause excessive energy consumption and reduced operational lifespan. This study develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based control and monitoring system for a three-phase induction motor driving a blower by integrating Siemens Sinamics G120 Variable Speed Drive (VSD), Simatic S7-1200 PLC, SIMATIC KTP 700 HMI, and a web interface based on Node-RED. The system supports manual and automatic operation modes, with the automatic mode controlled by real-time ambient temperature readings from an LM35 sensor. The automatic control logic ensures the motor operates only when the temperature is within the range of 20°C to 37°C, automatically shutting down the motor if the temperature falls outside this range to prevent damage and inefficient operation, while the motor speed is proportionally adjusted according to the temperature within the specified range. Monitoring and control can be performed remotely via PC or smartphone using Ethernet communication based on the Profinet protocol. Testing results show that motor speed and direction can be accurately controlled and monitored in real time, with consistent data among the HMI, VSD, and external measuring instruments. This solution offers a reliable, user-friendly, and energy-efficient method for blower control in industrial environments, making a significant contribution to industrial automation by combining conventional control systems with IoT technology
