Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of multiple teaching methods (multimethod approach) in improving students’ ability to read and write the Qur'an at Rumah Tahfidz Mihrobul Qur’an Perbaungan. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The subjects of this study were Qur’anic teachers and students at the tahfidz house. The findings reveal that the use of varied methods—such as talaqqi (direct recitation), tikrar (repetition), writing verses, audio-visual aids, and educational games—significantly enhances students’ abilities to read and write the Qur’an. These methods accommodate different learning styles and developmental stages of the students. Moreover, the implementation of these methods also builds emotional and spiritual connections with the Qur’an, as reflected in students' daily habits and attitudes. In conclusion, the multimethod approach not only improves technical skills in Qur'anic literacy but also fosters a stronger love and appreciation for the Qur'an. Therefore, this approach is considered effective and recommended for broader use in non-formal Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the competence of teachers’ personalities as role models in improving students’ morals at MAS Insan Kesuma Madani Namorambe Deli Serdang. The research focuses on teachers’ personality competence, students’ moral behavior, and the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing teachers’ role modeling. This qualitative descriptive study collected data through interviews with two teachers, the principal, the vice principal, and five eleventh-grade students in May 2025. The findings reveal that teachers demonstrate good personality competence through consistent attitudes and effective communication, positively impacting students’ moral development. However, students’ morals vary; some exhibit good behavior while others show less optimal conduct. Supporting factors include a conducive school environment, ongoing teacher training, and collaboration with students’ families. Inhibiting factors consist of teachers’ heavy workloads, negative influences from social media and peer environments, and limited school facilities. The study recommends enhancing teacher support, strengthening school-family collaboration, and addressing external influences to optimize teachers’ roles as role models in shaping students’ character.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation, relevance, and supporting and inhibiting factors of Multiple Intelligences from the Qur’anic perspective in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Swasta Nur Hasanah Medan. The research employed a qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the Qur’anic-based Multiple Intelligences approach has been integrated into the PAI learning process, encouraging students to be active, communicative, and socially skilled. Its relevance is reflected in the improvement of learning quality, emphasizing not only mastery of the material but also the development of Islamic character. Supporting factors include teacher competence, school facilities, a religious environment, and student motivation, while inhibiting factors involve limited time, differences in student ability, and a lack of learning media. Recommendations include enhancing creative teaching strategies, optimizing facilities, and providing teacher training to address existing challenges.
