Abstract

For society, welfare is very important in economic activities. This welfare shows that at least the community is able to meet their daily needs, such as clothing and food. Moreover, there are micro, small and medium enterprises that can help make this happen. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) to improve the welfare of the community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using a library study approach which is supported by secondary data. The results of this study in terms of the economic aspect stated that the existence of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) had an important role in improving the welfare of the community. The higher the level of social welfare, the better the growth and development of the country's economy. In addition, from the legal aspect, it also supports that there are several regulations that UMKM are intended to realize the welfare of the community.Bagi masyarakat, kesejahteraan sangatlah penting dalam kegiatan ekonomi. Kesejahteraan ini menunjukkan bahwa setidaknya masyarakat sudah mampu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-harinya, seperti sandang dan pangan. Apalagi adanya usaha mikro kecil dan menengah yang dapat membantu mewujudkan hal tersebut. Tujuan adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peranan usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka yang didukung oleh data-data sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditinjau dari aspek ekonomi menyatakan bahwa keberadaan usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) memiliki peranan yang penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Dengan semakin tingginya tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat, maka akan semakin baik pertumbuhan serta pembangunan ekonomi negara. Selain itu, dari aspek hukum juga mendukung bahwa terdapat beberapa aturan yang UMKM yang memang ditujukan untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Gender equality has become one of the factors that can drive economic activity in a country by contributing to its economic growth. With the realization of gender equality, people have the right to participate in economic activities. This study aims to see whether gender equality can affect economic growth in Central Java Province in the 2010-2018 period. The indicators in this study are (1) Education through the Average Years of Schooling, (2) Health through Life Expectancy, and (3) Employment through the Labor Force Participation Rate, while economic growth through the value of Gross Regional Domestic Product. The method used to analyze is in the form of quantitative analysis, while the data analysis technique uses multiple regression through the E-views 10 application. The results of this test show that, (1) gender equality seen through the average length of schooling has a negative and significant effect on growth economic growth in Central Java Province, (2) gender equality through life expectancy has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in Central Java Province, and (3) gender equality through labor force participation rates has a positive and insignificant effect on economic growth in Central Java Province for the 2010-2018 period. Gender equality atau kesetaraan gender telah menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat menggerakan kegiatan perekonomian di negara dengan berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonominya. Dengan terwujudnya kesetaraan gender maka masyarakat memiliki hak untuk turut berperan dalam kegiatan perekonomian. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat apakah gender equality dapat berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Jawa Tengah periode 2010-2018. Indikator dalam penelitian ini berupa (1) Pendidikan melalui Rata-rata Lama Sekolah, (2) Kesehatan melalui Angka Harapan Hidup, dan (3) Ketenagakerjaan melalui Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja, sedangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui nilai Produk Domestik Regional Bruto. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis berupa analisis kuantitatif, sedangkan teknik analisa data menggunakan regresi berganda melalui aplikasi E-views 10. Hasil dari pengujian ini diketahui bahwa, (1) gender equality yang dilihat melalui rata-rata lama sekolah menghasilkan pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Jawa tengah, (2) gender equality melalui angka harapan hidup terdapat pengaruh yang negatif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, dan (3) gender equality melalui tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja menghasilkan pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Provinsi Jawa Tengah periode 2010-2018. Kata Kunci : Rata-rata Lama Sekolah; Angka Harapan Hidup; Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja.
