Abstract

Urbanization encourages the development of urban structures that have an impact on urban development and governance systems. This study aims to determine the level of community appreciation and its influence on development through the 'soul and body' approach and the influence of the city's soul on the city's body to support the development of the city of Bandung. The results show that the indicators of the soul that have the highest value are identity, attachment, and satisfaction, while the indicators of the body that have the highest value include commercial services, culture and arts, and diversity, and there is a significant influence of the city's soul on the body of the city. It was concluded that the city of Bandung has a strong urban soul that has a positive effect on the city body. This indicates the appreciation of the community for improving the management and development of Bandung city. Recommendations for the government to seek in development to pay attention to community participation in planning and governance processes through collaborative planning techniques, strengthen communicative rationality and institutional planning through a sociological institutionalism approach to create urban prosperity and balance.

Abstract

Abstract The Rebana Metropolitan Area is planned as a connectivity and logistics center, with one of the agendas is the development of the Patimban New City, as a Port and Industrial City. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential locations for the construction and development of transportation nodes, namely stations, terminals, and Bus Rapid Transit Stops in Kota Baru Patimban. This study used a spatial analysis method, namely Space Syntax analysis, to obtain the values ​​of connectivity and integrity of road sections, which are then elaborated with Analytical Hierarchy Process analysis. In the final stage, the results of the two analyzes are processed in the Fishnet Grid analysis. This study shows that, in general, the potential locations for transportation nodes are beside arterial or main roads, around activity centers and Patimban Port, and between two or more different land-uses. Keywords: connectivity; new city; transportation node; spatial analysis; land use Abstrak Kawasan Metropolitan Rebana direncanakan sebagai pusat konektivitas dan logistik, dengan salah satu agendanya adalah mengembangkan Kota Baru Patimban, sebagai Kota Pelabuhan dan Industri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan lokasi potensial pembangunan dan pengembangan simpul-simpul transportasi, yaitu stasiun, terminal, dan Halte Bus Rapid Transit di Kota Baru Patimban. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis spasial, yaitu analisis Space Syntax, untuk memperoleh nilai-nilai konektivitas dan integritas ruas-ruas jalan, yang kemudian dielaborasi dengan analisis Analytical Hierarchy Process. Pada tahap akhir, hasil kedua analisis tersebut diolah dalam analisis Fishnet Grid. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum potensi lokasi simpul transportasi berada di samping jalan arteri atau jalan utama, di sekitar pusat kegiatan dan Pelabuhan Patimban, dan di antara dua atau lebih penggunaan lahan yang berbeda. Abstract

Abstract Jakarta as the center of government in Indonesia has the characteristics of diversity of land use and high population density, supported by lot of investments in the development of mass public transportation, which makes Jakarta one of the compact cities in Indonesia. Integration between modes of transportation and the surrounding environment is necessary for Jakarta’s urban planning. Transit-oriented development is part of the compact city planning concept that can be applied to development in Jakarta. This study aims to determine the potential for the development of transit-oriented areas around the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit Station within a radius of 800 m from the center of the transit node at each station. Potential locations are determined using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method on several variables forming the criteria for the development of an ideal transit-oriented area. This study shows that the areas with the most potential to be developed with the concept of transit-oriented development are Bundaran HI Station, Dukuh Atas Station, and Asean Station. Keywords: transit-oriented area development; mass rapid transit; compact city; public transit Abstrak Jakarta sebagai pusat pemerintahan di Indonesia memiliki karakteristik keberagaman penggunaan lahan dan kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi dan didukung dengan banyaknya investasi pembangunan transportasi umum massal, yang menjadikan Jakarta sebagai salah satu kota kompak di Indonesia. Integrasi antara moda transportasi dan lingkungan sekitar diperlukan untuk perencanaan Kota Jakarta.pengembagan kawasan berorientasi transit merupakan bagian konsep tata kota kompak yang dapat diterapkan pada pembangunan di Jakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi pengembagan kawasan berorientasi transit di sekitar Stasiun Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta dalam radius 800 m dari pusat simpul transit di setiap stasiun. Lokasi potensial ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process pada beberapa variabel pembentuk kriteria pengembagan kawasan berorientasi transit yang ideal. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kawasan yang paling potensial untuk dikembangkan dengan konsep pengembagan kawasan berorientasi transit adalah Stasiun Bundaran HI, Stasiun Dukuh Atas, dan Stasiun Asean.
