Abstract

This study determines the phenomenological behavioural problems manifested by high school students enrolled in Subic National High School and draws implications to address the behavioural issues. The study used qualitative research adhering to phenomenological methods, and data were thematically analyzed. Results of the study showed that most of the participants are between the ages of 28 and 32, most of the teacher's responders are female, the majority of the teacher's responses are teaching English, and the majority of participants are Teacher I. The common misbehaviour issues of the students inside the classroom are disruptive behaviours, truancy, and behavioural engagement. The factors that led to students' misbehaviour inside the school are biological, social factors, and internal factors. Participants encourage students to behave well inside the classroom by giving rewards and punishments, classroom activities, and creating a positive classroom environment. Suggested activities to make the students behave well inside the school are fostering a culture of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, interactive teaching and learning, and rewards and motivation. A program was proposed. The study recommends that teachers be trained to handle classroom management concerns and problems. Administrators, teachers, parents, and students must all collaborate to achieve a common aim of peace and harmony in well-managed schools. Students should be included as participants in future studies, and their impressions and comments about school punishment techniques should be recorded. Further study may be conducted to validate the findings of this research.

Abstract

The objective is to study was the Elementary Teachers’Academic Preparation and Performance in order to determine the backdrop information for an intervention, multidimensional collaborative with all stakeholders of education community in Castillejos District. This utilized a descriptive-survey research design with the instrument developed in PPST being modified and adopted for data collection. The variation in teaching effectiveness based on professional status and monthly salary is statistically significant with respect to knowledge of content, pedagogy, diversity of learners; curriculum organization and planning; evaluation and reporting as well as personal growth /professional development. No statistically significant difference is noted in Teaching Performance based on Learning Environment when respondents are grouped according to gender, age, civil status, teaching position/rank and monthly salary. It is therefore suggested, in this study that:, teachers should participate in work shop and seminars, upgrading for higher degrees and certificate holders, digital literacy training for teachers and curriculum development. Involve the community in the school room, field trips and activity Theories to help create a learning environment and parent classes on How to help their child learn at home or He parents needs to understand the curriculum. Abstract

This research investigated the relationship between screen time and digital literacy of elementary students at Learning Circle, Inc., Olongapo City, Philippines after the excessive use of digital tools brought by COVID 19. A descriptive-correlational type of research design was used with 102 students who were surveyed through Likert-scale questionnaire. Students’ screen time exposure was of a moderate level, with the mean screen time exposure score 2.74 (SD = 0.80). In the aspect of digital literacy, students have an acceptable level with the overall mean 2.85(SD =0.73). Statistically significant differences were found between age and grade when analysed via ANOVA in screen time exposure and digital literacy. In particular, there was a segregation in the adoption of screen time exposure by age (F(8, 93) = 4.058, p < 0.001) and scholarship level (F(5, 96) = 4.683, p < 0.001). However, there was no significant sex difference observed (F(1, 100) = 0.122; p = 0.727). There were statistically significant, positive correlations between screen time exposure and e-literacy (r = 0.710, p-value < 0.001) showing in Pearson correlation analysis.). These results suggest that increased levels of screen time may stimulate the acculturation in digital literacy and call for equitable usage in educational settings. The results of the research have significant implications for educators and policy makers on how to effectively incorporate technology into the classroom as a means of promoting positive amounts of screen time.

Abstract

The study considered the two pathways through which smartphone use is associated with third-grade English students’ academic performance. Descriptive-correlation research design was used in the study with the help of a survey questions and testing as main tools for data collection. A total of 46 participants were included in this study, who participated during School Year 2024 – 2025. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were mean, standard deviation, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation. KULLY The demographic results of the study were higher percentages of respondents aged 8. The majority of the respondents are male. The respondents have agreed on the positive role of using smartphones in academic achievement in English (listening and speaking skills, reading and writing skills). The respondents concur that there are disadvantages of using smartphones on academic performance in English as far as listening skills, speaking skills reading skills and writing skill is concerned.
